Not the best day for filming with low cloud so bad light with quite a bit of rain thrown in. Not been down here for 6 years so decided to give it another go, last time it was wet and greasy and this time was no different. I had mixed feelings about doing this due to the weather forecast of thunder and lightening but having ridden many other places and struggling to find something new for the channel thought I should give it a go
As the name suggests the limestone even with little gradient was tricky to ride with the bike uncontrollably sliding around so didn't ride anything like I reckon I could in the dry which means I need to go back although it won't all go but the vast majority probably will
It took me an eternity before I finally arrived at Grasmere so had to go back almost via the quickest route but would have liked to have done a bit more. A good day was had nevertheless with some atmospheric scenery ❤️

Another spot on video. You'll likely know it but if not - There's another great descent the opposite side of Easedale Tarn. When at the east side of the tarn cross Sourmilk Gill and go right, with Sourmilk Gill on your right, follow the track down towards Far Easedale Gyll then turn right at a wooden bridge, takes you down towards Grasmere. 99% rideable and great techy fun.

Thanks for your comments and heads up. Been down Greenup to Grasmere and think this connects, also been off Easedale the way I think your describing but could have been on foot. Are there quite a few stepping stones across a bog to manouver before you start the main descent? I need to do the bit off the top again in the dry so when I get to the tarn, may cross over and give it another try to refresh my memory 🤘

Great riding even in the wet! Was wondering - what app do you use for your offline maps? Thanks

Cheers pal, was using Viewranger who got bought out by Outdooractive a few years ago so continued my subscription with them. Ok for mapping routes as well. I can’t say whether it’s any better than others, it’s a tool and does a job with no complaints from me
