This 1996-made module is a remix of the theme tune for the C64 title Auf Wiedersehen Monty. And despite the name, no. This is not a German game, nor a Japanese one! It's a unique English-made game made by none other than Gremlin in 1987.
I heard this tune from the installer for the German PC version of Hogs of War, better known as Tombi!..... oh, excuse me... Frontschweine, which I already played on the PlayStation prior of getting the PC version in around 2001 when I got it from one of my mom's mates, albeit cracked and ripped through a group named Dynasty, which had an affiliation with Myth, hence why the installer for it had the same structure of the installers of cracked PC releases through Myth during the time of the game's release. I do have the game on Steam nowadays.
Hogs of War was originally under development by the aforementioned Gremlin prior to their acquisition by Infogrames in 1999 and their subsequent rebranding into Infogrames Sheffield House, under which Hogs of War saw the light of day on both platforms in 2000.
I looked up for this remix on RU-vid, but all I can find is remixes by someone else, not this one. So I decided to upload this.
Many .XM's that were made over the years (and in the Present Day) were composed with Fasttracker II, or better known under its original MS-DOS incarnation of Fasttracker 2.
