@@Oooooooo797well, with that quote of Gus "with you the Salamancas will disappeare" to Hector we knew that somehow Lalo was going to die, the question was how and when
Actually, Don Eladio would just see dollar signs from this. In a shocking twist he’d probably just let Gus run it the way he was planning lol but all that money goes back south.
Just imagine Lalo survived Better Call Saul, he would've eliminated every main character of that universe. Walter and Jesse wouldn't survive their first week cooking
Lalo wouldn't have killed them, he wouldn't have to. The reason they had such problems with Tuco was because he was a druggie and a psychopath...too erratic and violent to deal with long term. Lalo, on the other hand, has the mind of the leader of a criminal empire...not to mention the skill and patience of a calculated hitman. No, Walter and Jessie would have been his bitches for a long time...and likely willingly.
@@JWlittlereddIf that happened, Walt would do to the Cartel what he did to Krazy 8 and Emilio. However, a potential meetup between Lalo and Walter would have been epic. Lalo may not underestimate Walter like others did. Walter would have to find another way to overcome Lalo.
Damn i never even thought of it like that. Funny how both Oberyn and Lalo showed up in the 4th season of their respective shows, and became fan favourites for their flamboyant charisma.
@@asahel980 He still let Gus go on and on ranting about how he hates the bosses of the cartel. As soon as lalo got footage of the lab room he could have shot Gus
This is probably what Vince Gilligan was referring to when he said the end of Better Call Saul will satisfy fans more than the end of Breaking Bad. Lalo Salamanca is black comedy gold & the noir aesthetic is impeccable, how it ultimately plays out is beyond satisfying.
Soon as Gus led him into the basement he could have just headshotted gus, taken the footage and GTFO before Mike came...hubris and insatiable thirst for revenge killed him like every other Salamanca
But it didn't take place in 2024 so really, what's the point? Could just as easily said the cartel would've found out if the laundry manager turned on Gus earlier.
@@mantistoboggan7228 The point is to imagine how this would play out today and how differences in technology influence the outcome of events. It's called a hypothetical and not being able to understand the purpose of hypotheticals is a common sign of very low intelligence.
This is why the show took place in the perfect era. Just when there's already cell phones and decent gadgets while still leaving out social media, smartphones and places having more camaras
Lalo saying that he had a bathtub that opened like the idustrial washing machine is probably a reference to El Chapos secret bathtub entrance to one of his escape tunnels.
Because Lalo need proofs to accuse him in front of Don Eladio. He might be able to kill Gus after this video recording, but he might not be able too as Mike and his crew will come to save Gus (listen to what Lalo said at 1:35). He must run away before Mike come.
This is one of those moments where i wanted both sides to win, but we all knew how this was gonna go down and it wasn't gonna be Lalo walking out alive.
I know y'all are making a great point about plot armor. But this show uses the theme of "pride before the fall" a lot. Lalo got bested by Gus for that reason. Gus got the same fate for the same reason with Hector. Walter got himself caught for that reason. You could argue Hank got himself killed for his pride too (whether that was how he went about cracking the drug empire case or refusing to turn a blind eye)
The only reason Lalo lose was because Gustavo was in Breaking Bad. He was the only man Gus was afraid off and the only man who alone almost tooked out Gustavo, and outsmarted Mike. He was the best character in that universe.
1000% better than breaking bad. breaking bad is over rated trash. dragged out episodes... those could be 30 minutes but no.. lets drag it out and make it like a baseball game
Ain't no way you said gus Is 30 body strength💀💀 Look at the scene where he was changing from his pollos hermanos outfit to the gus outfit,he is pretty good buffed
Gus already won, pointless to show imaginary fangurl stats to ship Lalo as a badass. But if we play along, Gus's patience stat is over 9k. Lalo's arrogance is infinite. Gus wins every time.
if BCS would have been made first im sure the writers would not have killed Lalo.... he may not be the best... but is my fav character in this universe!!
"Too bad they don't make armor for your head" What did Lalo mean by this? Obviously helmets exist. So he must have meant it metaphorically, saying that there was no armor for your "head", meaning he was insulting Gus's intelligence and implying he was more intelligent than him. Vravo Bince.
@@richardplinkett4956 Even if you had some sore of ballistic helmet, there is a high likelihood that you would still suffer severe injuries to your skull either from fracture or just the brute force of a bullet hitting the helmet.
I was worried BTS would ruin the BB legacy but after the very first episode I needn’t have worried. Vince Gilligan and his team operate at such a high level it was always going to be brilliant.
The Jimmy, Chuck and Howard plotline was my least favourite bit. Relatively boriong legal stuff. The cartel stuff was what I watched it for. Amazing1 🙂
First episode was one of the worst, only because of the Tuco ending, though. The show was always good, but I don't think we ever really knew how far it was going to go until Gus came back.
