@@travisoshea Bobby Patrino was a former NFL coach who was running a pro style offense. His numbers were better the year after he won the Heisman and he should have been a 2 time winner. And even at the NFL level, with the RPO style offense, he had to make multiple pass and run reads during the same play most of the time. So in actuality, he was reading twice as much as most QB because of the type of system he was in and doing it twice as fast

Lamar can certainly pass the ball. He's actually as dynamic passing the ball as he is running. We all remember Pat Mahomes no look pass but not Lamar. Lamar's jump touchdown pass. His unique throwing angles. He can essentially throw the ball from any position including on the back foot and on the run. Idk what people are seeing but I'm sure Lamar sitting back licking his chops ‼️

Wait until they realize that Lamar has been wanting to switch to a pro style offense for over two years. These are the same people who said that since the ravens got rid of Roman (which Lamar has implied he hated playing under on his social media likes) they were getting rid of Lamar, when in reality they were doing it because that’s what Lamar wants. The biggest thing Burrow, Allen, Mahomes have had is better talent around him and a scheme that will allow him to balance pass and run with a tilt towards passing. I’ve said that put Lamar on most teams with better talent and he wins more playoff games and possibly a SB. And if Lamar is able to show he can pass well and the offense highlights the WR play, they will definitely be getting some free agent WR closer to Lamar’s age and entering their prime with Lamar than ever before.

Shady's right. I'm a Ravens fan and you can't just say 1 playoff win and we good. Prior to his contract, they were all talking about how he should be paid because he was league MVP and had one of the best regular season records. Now he's the highest paid QB and they backtrack to just 1 playoff win. That doesn't make sense. He should have the pressure of winning just like the other top QBs or why would he even deserve to be highest paid. He now has 3 more receivers to help him and a top 10 defense. It's win now mode for him because his cap hit will be an issue in the future.

Facts last year we really missed him I always thought duv was better then him but I realized how valuable he really is once he went down. Duv was solid but once Bateman went down he didn’t really do much. They really was feeding off of each other when they both were on the field together. It's funny everyone thinks of the Ravens as a run first team. In 2021 the Ravens passed the ball over 600 times between Lamar and Snoop and rushed it less than 500 times, like in the high 400's. That was with Greg Roman and tons of injuries to the team.

It's not a double standard. They're in 2 different places in their careers. Rodgers has 1 or 2 years left, so a playoff win wont cut it. Especially since many consider him the most talented QB ever. Lamar is young. He has many chances. And the thing most people killed Lamar for during his contract negotiation was that he shouldn't be paid cause he's not healthy. So step 1 is be healthy. Step 2 is win in the playoffs. And then step 3 is win a SB.

But I hope you have that same energy for Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott, Kyler Murray, etc who all have failed to get close to a SB. Where has Rodgers been since his last SB? There's a lot of QB's that have failed to make it. The point still remains, Aaron has maybe 2 years to reach a SB. Lamar has plenty of time. So clearly, while the goal is always a SB, the timeline to get there makes a difference.

Lamar will run LESS. It doesn't mean he won't run. His running ability is a weapon you have to keep in the back of a defenses mind. There will still be RPO's, still be qb powers, zone reads and scrambles. But the Ravens needed to get more complex and consistently dangerous in the passing game.

I was trying to figure out why this show doesn't resonate with me despite the able cast members. Acho's rhetoric is a bit much/ overbearing for this format that includes other consistent, in-studio panelists. He is clearly a great talent. But they should try a format in which he is a single host- like Collin Cowherd- who from time to time has guests. Or, better yet, a format like 'Around the Horn' where he functions similarly to the host/moderator Tony Reali.

Last i checked the award is called NFL MVP, not AFC MVP. While the afc wasn’t stacked like it is now, the man still beat out pay Mahomes, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers.

You can have the Offensive of Coordinator, but if you don't have the talent around Lamar Jackson to help him beat the other Elite teams with elite quarterbacks than he won't go far.

@@postverifiedlifestyle just wait and see. If he is asked or required to throw more, I believe he will perform poorly. Wouldn't surprise me if he starts out good for the first few games and then once teams have a chance to study film on the Ravens new offense you see a huge decline in his passing and then he'll start running again.

I don’t know if EA’s memory is good for certain years or what. When he came in the league and took over for Joe in 2018 he did well. Roman wasn’t the OC until they made Lamar starter the next season and that is because of what Roman did in San Fran! Because Roman wanted did well in San Fran he wanted to do the same in Baltimore. The problem with Roman is he didn’t know how to create plays to put balance with his schemes. He began to be too run happy and depended on the TE a-lot like he didn’t trust plays for WR’s. Lamar learned in college using a Pro Style game. All these years now in the NFL went away from what he learned in college. Todd Monken should be able to get balance back to the offense get Lamar back to bettering his passing abilities. Looking forward to this season to see how he develops from what Roman did to him!

Slick Rick needs to stick to basketball. Lamar doesn't need to be a better passer than those other qbs. The Ravens need to help him grow and develop the threat of the pass game to go with their run game. They don't become one dimensional anymore with threats outwide and a more balanced offense
