Lamar Jackson is back in Baltimore as he participated in his first press conference at the Ravens facility after signing his new five-year, $260M deal. The Ravens added some new weapons to help him succeed, including Odell Beckham Jr. and drafting Boston College WR Zay Flowers in the first round. He expressed some high expectations for himself, saying that he quote: 'wants to throw 6,000 yards .. and I feel like we have the weapons to do that.' And even if you want to use the Josh Allen argument as your defense, that’s one example. If wide receivers were so important to winning championships, then how come Randy Moss, Terrell, Owens Chris, Carter Megatron Larry Fitzgerald all have zero rings combined. And before you try and bring up Jerry rice, the 49ers were literally defending Super Bowl champions the year he was drafted by them he probably wasn’t nearly as vital to their Super Bowl wins As anybody would like to think.

Herbert has arguably had just as bad situations as Lamar, he has weapons but they’re hurt majority of the time and his defense didn’t show up when it mattered these past playoffs. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I HATE when Acho talking about Shady being "busy winning Super Bowls". When? What Super Bowl did he play in and not watch like I did? He's never played a snap in a single Super Bowl. In the 2 Super Bowl seasons, he didn't play a snap AT ALL in the playoffs. Not 1 snap. Not even an end of the game kneel down. In the year KC won the Super Bowl he ran for a total of 465 yds and the year the Bucs won he ran for a grand total of 31 yds. And again didn't see the field during either Super Bowl. He was a great RB, did amazing things for the Eagles. But he's about as much of a Super Bowl Champion as the 3rd string QB on those teams. The ONLY argument that would change my mind is his locker room presence. Maybe he was super inspirational for the players who actually contributed for those years. Other than that I don't know what he's talking about. Maybe I'm just a hater

The Ravens drafted him, changed the team around him, drafted two 1st round wrs and when that ran its course, signed him to the biggest nfl contract got a new offensive coordinator signed OBJ and drsfted another wr. Lamar's is married to the Ravens succes and vice versa. Bad mouthing one of the best GMs and teams in football will make you look stupid eventually. Having low expectations for a qb that wins 75% of his games doesn't make sense either. As a season ticket holder to the Ravens I can tell you expectations and excitement are very high for the up coming season.

Brady skewed a lot of numbers for QBs in during his time in the NFL. So many players weren’t as successful in the playoffs because they ran into Brady. This includes Manning, Philip Rivers, Big Ben… all these guys probably have 1 more ring than they currently have if not for Brady.

That's an average offensive core. Andrews is great but Obj is past prime and coming off surgery, flowers is a rookie, Bateman is decent, agalor is garbage, and all of the RBs get hurt every year. And the worst part this AVERAGE core is the best core Lamar has had which speaks to how poorly the Ravens have been in acquiring offensive talent

Stop. You got Lamar, Mark Andrews, Gus Edwards, and Justin Tucker. Other than that every body else is a huge question mark. Yes, JK and Hill and OBJ and Batemen and Flowers are HUGE question marks. Likely and Duvernay are small question marks but they are still unproven. And from what we know about Algalor and Treadwell, at best, they are huge question marks.

success is throwing top 3 in yardage, top 3 in percentage completion, top 3 in least amount of turnovers, playoff berth, playoff win. Winning or getting to the SB is a stretch for me. I absolutely hate that I actually agree with Acho. Lamar has had his expectations lowered to the point where a single playoff win is considered some great success for a supposedly MVP calibre talent? He should be held to the same standard as guys like Josh Allen, not Ryan Tannehill.
