I don't really watch NFL and I haven't heard about Lamar before but I think he's a very genuine man with lots of respect for others. Welcome to Germany my friend.
He's went through some tough times coming into the NFL. Most "experts" said he didn't have what it takes to play in the NFL. He proved them wrong. He is one of best QBs in football. I really loved watching him in collage and I have been rooting for him since day one. I hope he can get his Superbowl win one day.
Actually Handball gives you a decent skillset to start with playing American Football. You got core strenght and athletisism because it is a really physical sport. You got jumping, sprinting, throwing very hard and precisely and of course catching. You got that hand and eye coordination and also you are really good at anticipating the opponents movements. Played handball for almost 30 years and went to try some American Football as a WR and it was an absolute blast.
I am not a Ravens fan so i didnt know anything about Lamar outside of the field where he obviously is awesome. But as a person he seems really nice too, nice having him here in Germany.
0:33 I like how he introduced himself with his name. Probably not too common for Stars like him who assume everyone knows who they are. He seems like a really nice guy
Didn't know Lamar was in town! Well, probably because I don't follow the Ravens as much, but nevertheless nice to see him being such a good sport and even trying our cuisine!
Cant blaim him. I might get some heat from my fellow Germans for this but "Kaiserschman" is way better without it! With "Apfelmuss" its a 6/10, without its a 10/10
When he said "we cannot end on a drop", I felt like he wanted to keep a really good atmosphere to create positive lasting memories. He really seems like a cool guy.
I honestly believe that handball would be quite popular in the US if it was better known. It's basically Basketball on goals, with a lot of cool tricks involved. And americans know how to throw
@pobi.wan72669 Americans have many sports to play. I don't think a new sport will have space in the non popular sports we play. Example Lacrosse, Frisbee. I agree handball looks fun
@@pobi.wan72669 i think it looks really fun, i had never heard of it before. like the other guy said it would be hard for any sport to really catch on here, like how i dont know if NFL football will ever be big in europe despite the NFL trying hard. but i wonder if it was a sport here back like 60 years ago how big it would be now. it seems like it would be fast paced and really cool to see live
5:45 Guys wtf? How did you not know about handball? We play in all over Brazil in our P.E. classes together with futsal, volleyball, basketball and dodgeball.
same as you, a guy in the comments said he didn't think it was a real sport. In P.E. classes in my country, we played different sports too (handball, vollyball, long jump, basketball, rarely football/futsal). P.E. classes are supposed to educate students on sports they are not familiar with, that's why our teachers avoided football since it's the most popular sport in the country. I wonder how are P.E. classes in the US?
The amount of distance he can put on a ball off that spin is insane. Plant and rip it in 1 second. He covers 4 yards a stride. I wonder if a foreign born QB will ever make it thru D1 to bench ride or even start.
It's so interesting how domain-specific sport it. Like Lamar is a world class athlete at the top of hos game but instantly looks like bambi with a football at his feet!
Purple is the color of playoff chokes in the NFL. Just ask the MN Vikes. Ever since the Ravens switched from black to purple, their legendary playoff chokes are the norm
i played handball as a teenager semi-professionally and i'm having such a hard time throwing a football... 🙈🙈 throwing a baseball with speed and precision is so much easier ;-)
Honestly I'm surprised that handball has never really broken through in the US. It's the type of sport that should be likeable by the Americans. Fast paced and high scoring. But maybe it's good for us that it hasn't, cause I think with all the athletes there is in the US I'm sure they would probably be the best in the world 😂
Lass uns doch besser darstellen. Ich würde den auch kein Labskaus und Erbsensuppe hinstellen, dass schmeckt zwar ganz pasabel, sieht aber aus wie Kotze.
