The defenses of today don't even compare to back then and I'm not one of those people that say how everything about sports back then was better. But when it comes to defense it definitely was much harder to score than today. Prime Peyton Manning today in his late 20s would have back to back back 50+ TD seasons and might even get to 60

My only issue with the MVP is, Lamar wasn't in the MVP discussion for most of the season until the last 3 or 4 weeks. Dak, Purdy, Stroud played better and put up better stats. But congrats to Lamar, the pressure is definitely on him to get to the SB.

Dak had a crazy season but only beat a couple teams with a record above .500. Brock would’ve won mvp but completely demolished that when Lamar outshined him in his stadium, and purdy is not the best player on his team. Stroud was again demolished by Lamar two times. People have to start seeing the bigger picture. Lamar won mvp because he beat up on teams that people considered to be the best in the nfl.

I'm sorry but he (Lamar) is not the MVP. If he was such a great player, he would have taken advantage of the the defence limiting The Chiefs to 3 points in the second half. For me its like Aaron Rodgers. Regular season thrills only. Josh Allen did his part, but the Buffalo defence just was elite. CMC or Tyreek deserved it instead.

Lamar had 55% of his teams TOT Tds and 71% of the teams yards.... Allen had 82% of the bills total TDs and 76% of the teams total yards. Also Josh Allen in 2023: Total TDs: 44 (1st) Rush TDs: 15 (1st, NFL Record) Total YDs: 4,830 (1st) Pass YDs: 4,306 (4th) QB Rush YDs: 524 (4th) Success Rate: 51.4 (2nd) EPA/Play: 0.23 (2nd) Total EPA: 136.1 (2nd) Pass EPA: 86.6 (4th) Rush EPA: 49.5 (1st) The MVP award is for the "Most Valuable Player" it's pretty obvious which is more valuable

Peyton Manning was in this same boat and I don’t remember saying he’ll never get over the top when he was 27. Lamar won’t ever win a Super Bowl. He has a choking gene that some qb’s just seem to have. These qb stats are awful for mvp compared to other qb’s who won mvp the last 20 years. Yeah Lamar had a great statistical season his first MVP year. This year it was simply not the case. I think Lamar may have changed the precedence in his second MVP. This is the first time he didn’t have anywhere near the better stats for MVP and yet he won. This is probably a year it would’ve been better to have a non Qb like Christian Mccafrey or Tyreek Hill win the award. This actually could open Pandora’s box where we aren’t giving MVPs out based on hard statistical data, logic, and facts but instead are going off of eyeballs, emotions, and feelings.

People like to talk about Purdy's ranking as a QB, but where does Lamar actually land? I don't even take him over Kurt Cousins if I want a ring. Lamar is really in the Goff-tier of QB's, but is treated like he's Mahomes.

@@Finnissee0122 No, but fumbling in your own territory or throwing a pick into triple coverage is his fault. Also not being able to throw guys open when he threw the 1 on 1 balls was his fault. Not being able to change/audible calls at the line to get his team into more successful positons (everyone keeps blaming the OC for not running, and nobody calls Lamar out for not changing ANYTHING at the line) is his fault too. He's very much one of the top reasons they lost the AFCCG.

I am going to help you out. Actually KC played 2nd half conservative because of a 2 score led. They just kept running the ball to keep it safe against a good defense. Giving the defense respect.That is what a good team does. If Flowers had scored, KC would have adjusted and went back to attack mode. The defense did not stop Mahomes from throwing to Kelce, KC and Reed stopped it.

BFD. He’s thrown for less than 3,000 yards in a season 4 times in his first 6 years. He’s only thrown 30 or more TDs in a year once. He’s 2-4 in the playoffs all time. Josh Allen has 61 more total TDs in the the same 6 years and 6,000 more total yards than LJ. Let’s see what Keshawn has to say about LJ after he turns 30 and he won’t be running the ball like he is now.

Well don't worry as Lamar will always be criticized...it started before he even got into the NFL. We have to remember that it takes a team, and it starts with coaching. You can have the most talented team in the world but if the coaches do not know how to use those assets...you get the same results of losing. Everyone know there was something off with that AFC game but Harbs is getting one more shot and so we shall see.
