Honestly what is this😂….. These two are so shameless at times. Their opinions about Lamborghini are EXTREMELY subjective but they wouldn’t dare admit that due to their arrogance🤣🤣 love the pod and main channel but I really hate when they discuss Lambo, as if the company isn’t successful and it’s a completely outer planetary idea that people like them and drive them along side Ferraris and Porsches…..

@@CITRUS--lambos are the new hype car in my opinion. I think lambos popularity will grow more and more and people like the recognizable and different design of a lambo. But on the other hand Ferrari and Porsche have such a rich racing history. They have a lot of fans around the world. Specially Ferrari, there are so many tifosis around the world. Ferrari fans are very passionate about racing and they are everywhere

@@CITRUS-- Lambo have a very limited and poor racing history, Porsche and Ferrari's history is really based around racing. Since the Countach they have been seen as the cars that are driven by attention seekers and posers that don't really understand racing heritage or "pure" driving. Lambo as company have doubled down on that image, which for me is what makes them very cool. In recent times under VAG ownership they have built truly amazing products (especially the shared platform / engine cars with Audi).. Lambo are about to do some serious racing again in WEC with the SC63 Hypercar . And for now it looks like its not going to be a rebodied ( VAG family) Porsche. 963. 😍

I daily drive a Ferrari FF. Like Tony says, it is an event every time I get in it. It's also comfortable and easy to drive. I really didn't enjoy Porsche ownership for a number of reasons (new car) and I will probably never buy another. I would never buy a Lambo unless it was something from the 60's which is unlikely to happen. The thing is, there's nothing made after my FF that I'd change it for, even a Lusso. For me personally I now have nowhere to go, I'm driving my perfect car and there is nothing on the market that would encourage me to change it.

There are 2 other factors too. Which country you're from and what the perception the dealership has of you. Let me explain what I mean by that. I'm from India and the supercar trend really caught on just in the last decade. I know someone who secured an allocation for a 911R having only owned a Carrera S and a Cayenne S before that. He didn't have an extensive collection either back then as he does today. He secured an allocation at sticker while also beating at least 6-7 individuals who have had way more Porsches n have had a relationship going back over a decade at least. Not just that, it was the only one allocated for India n was the 2nd car delivered to Asia and amongst the first dozen or two worldwide. Around the same time he also secured an allocation for a 458 Speciale without havin owned a Ferrari of any sorts prior to that. It was again the 1st in the country n one of 2 Speciales n 1 Speciale Aperta delivered here n amongst the first few delivered worldwide. Later on he picked up the country's first 488 Pista (His cousin too picked up a Pista a few months later without any prior Ferrari ownership) n amongst 6 or so delivered. This was followed by the country's 1st GT2RS MR and AMG GTR (He has had a history with Mercedes since he's had a few S classes n so on), the 1st Aventador SVJ (He owned a Novitec Huracan which has now been sold), the 1st SF90 Assetto Fiorano, the 1st 812 Competitzione, the 1st AMG GT Black Series n the 1st Huracan STO. Apart from these, he still owns his first ever supercar which is a Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition, a Techart GT Street R, a 296 GTB, a 488 Challenge race car and a SLS AMG, a Ferrari F430 n a Murcielago which he bought used apart from his daily runners such as a S650 Maybach, Cayenne S n G63 AMG. The coolest thing is that the miles he puts on is almost 1:1 in terms of road and track use. In fact, the GT2RS, AMG GTR, STO and Cayman GT4 probably have 3x more track miles than what was done on the road. One thing that most likely worked in his favour was that all these companies were trying to get their feet in the door when he started building his collection so they got him the allocations because they were sure that they had a guaranteed repeat customer while also getting alot of social media coverage because he doesn't shy away from putting miles on any of his cars. Also, he only paid the MSRP on all of them. We don't have markups the way limited run cars do in the UK n the insane markups found in the US. We do however have close to 220% duties levied on imports. Similarly, at least 10 individuals have gotten the new 992 GT3s having zero prior relationships with the Porsche dealership or the brand in general. This might change eventually once they see a significant rise in buyers though. I also heard that you can get allocations to limited run cars in the Middle East too without havin prior relationships with the dealership or brand. This could also be due to the fact that they, just like the US, get a significantly large number of allocations while also speccing every option available and the higher chances of repeat purchases. As you mentioned, you probably have a better chance of being able to buy a limited run Lambo compared to somethin from Ferrari n Porsche. But I've also heard of Lamborghini dealerships in the US asking close to double the MSRP for the SVJ, Ultimae n STO. I think there are SVJ 63s still listed for over 1.2 million USD. I also heard of some dealerships asking for almost 300k USD over MSRP for the new Revuelto while also "insisting" that you also purchase a Urus Performante to secure an allocation of an early car. Similarly Ferrari dealerships there are trying to get people to buy a Roma, a 296/SF90 n a Portofino if you want to stand a chance of being allocated a Purosangue. The sad part is that there is more than enough number of people willing to do just that n as long as that's the case, folks like us stand a lesser chance of being able to buy new the car that we want when we have the means to do so. It doesn't help that the limited run cars hold value or even appreciate makin the used market also a no go unless you're willing to buy a really high mileage example.😑 Pls pardon my long ass message 😬🤘🏼

It’s to do with the engines. Porsche have always had smaller engines and haven’t changed, Lambo have always had loud V8/10/12’s and haven’t changed whereas Ferrari pre 2010 were known for their ‘exotic’ V8/12’s but have since changed to hybrid and turbo’d engines. Could it be we don’t like change and we identify with the brands that have stayed true to their MO

I think you're on to something here. Maybe it's not so much aversion to change, but just the breakdown of their formula. Ferrari had high-revving NA V8s and V12s in beautiful bodies and now they don't. No more NA screamers and they stopped having Pininfarina pen the cars. IMO, the F12 was the last heart-pounding Ferrari. Just so happens to have an NA V12 and a Pininfarina design (it was the last Pininfarina Ferrari).

I’d have the agree with Sam . Ferrari just aren’t producing the models that have the wow factor of the 2000’s and 1990s . The styling has deteriorated since pininfarina were replaced . The shift away from naturally aspirated engines and electrification has also caused issues . Porsche on the other hand has only made very subtle design tweaks whilst having best in class dynamics and engines . I would say that both brands have copied high end fashion houses by churning out endless limited edition products . It’s a clever strategy as they can produce loads of very similar cars but maintain the apparent exclusivity .

Tony’s right, nothing beats that feeling of walking up to, seeing the badge and a getting into a Ferrari. The smells etc. The feel. Ferrari have always been better than people think in terms of usability too. Think the haptics have ruined the Ferrari and just legislation quieting everything down. I’m sure Ferrari would have them sounding louder if they could. They already do a better job than most stopping the muffling of turbos etc. That 296 is really pretty in the background too. Also a manual speciale is the dream. That’s what cars are missing these days, that aggressive, unique, learn to drive it, could kill you if you don’t respect it. Out and out speed doesn’t matter, it’s whether it gives the fizz, noise, character all those cliches

It's a price thing in my opinion, a lot of 'normal' people can afford a Porsche, therefore, people get the 'bug' for them. They're at that price point where you don't have to be in the top 0.01% to own one. Ferrari and Lambo on the other hand, require you to be very wealthy. It's the same reason why some people love BMW (weird right?). They're affordable and still fast. Realistically, I think the show of hands would be very different in a real life situation if they had the choice between a GT3 and say a 488 Ferrari... I love Porsche and have owned 3, Ferrari's are silly money, I'll own one but the desire for them is fairly low until I can afford one properly.

EV are certainly catching up (charging/range aside), but I would say they are still more expensive and often do not offer the same level of equipment/luxury when compared with ICE. In some segments EV are also technically behind, for e.g not offering all wheel drive. Also depreciation might prove to be worse than ICE, could have some "hidden" costs (registration, higher insurance, need to change tires more often...)

I don't think this is entirely true. Ferrari has released the latest naturally aspirated V12. What Lambo has done in recent years is only made minor adjustments to the Aventador and made it a limited edition to make money. while the 812 competizione and purosangue are completely new vehicles. Okay the competizione is based on the 812 but is more hardcore. Lambo hasn't done this since the SVJ and is the first to kill the naturally aspirated V12.

@@head911 I agree, but as a package its very desirable. Along with the Pista, its the only recent Ferrari that I have love for like the older cars. The SF90 XX has my attention, as it seem like its going to be a total weapon in every situation. But i will need to wait until i see one in real life to judge if i desire one, as the looks are bit much in pictures for me.

@@CharlieBeveridge These are cars for collectors and very very rich people, buy a GT3 and you will probably have more fun and can use it more!! That´s is what I did!!

I would take a new Porsche over a new Ferrari or Lambo, but I would take a Lambo over a Ferrari any day.

To me Lambo, porsche and Ferrari all offer something different but are incredibly engineering fantastic cars To me bmw vs audi vs Mercedes is more interesting But to me bmw atm is the best out of the 3 Mercedes loosing its way with the new c63 and boring looking all the same, Audi meh no r8 just seem boring not much going on Bmw new ix and XM M3 touring M5 touring on the way Best diesel saloon 530d M340i 6 cylinder Almost bmw beats the other germans in each category

Here we go again, I've just done 2000 miles in the UK and Europe, in my EV in 4 days. 30% in the UK and 70% in Europe. No problem anywhere. Maybe you should have one of these with EV owners or better still, an expert and regular user of EVs at the table - but you won't do that because it might actually prove how ill informed you are.

I have to side with Tony as usual. Ev's are too expensive compared to ICE equivalent. Too heavy in comparison, bad depreciation and with the infrastructure EV's have a very long way to go. Yes they go forwards, backwards and even steer......not sure that qualifies as a great product
