All the Porsche fanboys saying this is fake and the 918 is faster LOL... Video looks legit to me. Keep in mind that the video in the 918 is inside the cabin. In this video, the camera was placed by the front bumper, which gives the impression of faster movement than if placed higher...

Too many dumbs talk about the nurburgring times, pretending like they know well about the track, but the truth is they don't. You should first know what happened to nuburgring recently. The new construction work of nurburgring have made the whole thing different. With the new track, Porsche 911.2 GT3 set the record 12 seconds faster than 991.1 model, only with 25hp difference and minor updates. Also the 991.2 carrera GTS have set the record of 7:23 after the construction work, which is almost 3 seconds faster than 560 hp 991.1 turbo s which was set before the construction work. Now you see the difference of before and after the construction work? Same for the huracan performante period

Wow, just wow. These are going to sell!! Amazing to see how a 250-300k car from today can beat an almost 900k hypercar from almost 4 years ago. A lot depends on the driver and the conditions though. So I guess on many tracks the 918 might still be faster. Also some parts of the Nordschleife were rebuilt in the last few years. Amazing time though, congrats! Love the Huracan

Assetto Corsa released the Performante on Dec 20th, and I finally got a chance to boot it round the ring. Gotta say, Marco Mapelli has extraordinary talent. I've been sim racing for 10+ years and can lap with the best of them, even so, I only managed a 6:56 after a few warm up laps, and this was done with reckless regard for my own virtual life and what I thought was a flawless lap. Great job Lamborghini and Marco!

06:52 that's really fast 😳 I tried it on Forza Motorsports 6 on the same Lamborghini Huracán, upgraded every parts of the car, Engine stuff, Clutch, transmission, suspension, and tuned it myself (0-60 in 2.2s and 228mph top speed) running in Racing tyres and I finished the lap at 07:40+ (if I remember correctly)

Bow to the Kings!! I've been a soapbox preaching fan of the Big Bad Bull since my youngest memories. I have even gotten to ride in on several times. It just made my love for the brand stronger. It makes me fill with joy seeing this video. I have always longed for the day, Lamborghini is the fastest, period. It was always a battle between camps in Italy. The Countach vs. F-40 , Diablo vs. "Testy-Rosa" , and it just kept happening. This video says more than the average car fan will notice. This was a record lap. No doubt about it. But it doesn't show truly how fast this car really is. What someone watching had to pay attention to is percentages. What percent do the cars in other videos stay standing W.O.T. in their laps? Most of the time its generally largest percent W.O.T., then braking, then time off-throttle. Listen to this v-10 handle this track up. Most of the time I viewed this I was thinking, where did the full throttle roar go? Simply because he was running it so fast yet there was more to go, still! The fact that it is obviously I would say at the most, 4 seconds faster than this video (given conditions, lighting , track temp, race tires, ETC.) is amazing. You don't even hear much abs correcting overzealousness. Or Rev Limiter, or tires squealing because they are being pushed hard. In Fact those tires did the job exceptionally well. Hail to Pirelli! This beauty is just so much more monster than people know. Stay out of the way little pony, there is a stampede coming this way. (you can use that in your advertising. I don't mind. LOL)

Is this Huracan modified from the stock version though? Look at the cockpit view. It has a roll cage. Would the stock production version come with a roll cage? The 918 did not seem to have a roll cage when it did that lap, from what we can see in Porsche's video.

I think I was more nervous than the driver

The amazing thing for me about this video is the grip of the car and the consequences in terms of steering. Just watch the two minutes of the equivalent Aventador video and the amount of steering adjustment/correction necessary and compare it here. It is staggering. This translates in speed carried through the bends, aids driver concentration on he rod ahead - Good job Marco.

I find it fascinating on how quickly these cars accelerate, every damn time. I own a BMW M4 and a i4 Accord, so I can experience this type of fascination. I know a BMW M4 isn't as fast as a Huracan Performante, but using the Accord as my daily drive, it really has an impact and it makes me feel alive when I step into my M4. I mean, accelerating to 70mph with the Accord takes a while and trying to merge on highways... oh god why.
