Great job and a fantastic tale, being an old psychobilly from the 80's I love the Coffinnails reference😊 I was never a scooter fan always been a biker since my first RD125LC in 82 but your videos are starting to turn my head 😂😂😂
Ha! Cheers fella… you might want to check out cobweb garage then- he’s a former or current?? Coffin nails member… who does lambretta/ hotrod stuff with a psychobilly flavour..
@@qft4300 the engine casing?.. the stud holes were welded up and the outside of the spigot mouth was built up with weld to make it thicker … then it’s machined out to except the larger barrel and the face is machined flat… holes re drilled and tapped… this conversion was popular 10-20 years ago when large block casings were difficult to get hold of and tig welding was cheap.. now 200 casings are easy to come by and tig welding is expensive!- so there’s probably not a lot of difference in price to buying a new 200 casing these days… nice to use your original engine casings though, Chris sad @cs engineering did mine.. I think Mike phoenix does/did them to.
Ha!,,, I use both… in fact last time I used it I used the blue panels… iv got a 3rd set of panels to be sprayed as well… its just a way of mixing it up so I don’t get bored… its cheaper than buying a new scooter…
Hi I'm just wondering, the photo at 0.37 the scooter is wearing an Eibar badge on the horn cast....if this is an Eibar originally then it isn't a true Pacemaker....just a thought.
No presumably when it was restored in the early 80s someone stuck an eibar badge on it as it’s all they had?… if you look a few seconds before it’s actually got a photo of the original green rf60 logbook - if you read it it’s actually got ‘pacemaker’ as the model (34 seconds)
Also Li150 of that period didn't have the SX headlight but Eibar LI 150 specials did , definitely something going on there. I reckon it's an import been given an age related plate .
It’s not… it’s a 1964 uk registered from new li150 pacemaker. The frame number dictates what it is not a horncast badge!, and the documentation (I have a copy of the original rf60 logbook and all the 70s and 80s ve50 logbooks from the dvla)
Well as you probably know there’s only a small selection of songs you can use on RU-vid these days because of copyright so these were 2 of the only non copyrighted tunes I could find!- Chunky Monkey by Shtriker Big Band … and Jazz Times by Pavlo Butorin
