Old timer here. Had a TV175 in the 1960's. Solid performer. Like to have it now. Wanted to increase its power some but not enough of a 2 stroke tuner to do it.
What is the problem you have with neutral ? When riding select neutral before you stop . If at a stand still rev bike then select . If you have clutch drag you have a clutch problem and the more you try the worse it gets . Check for plates warped and notches on basket etc . Also oil thinner oil separates plates easier. Try motorcycle oil 10 40 with MA 1 or MA 2
Cork clutches are shite. Mine used to stick every time I started it cold, even if the scooter had not stood that long. Got a composite clutch using Suzuki plates, and it's ten times better.
@TheSteelweasel it was built by my mate, but I'll put what I know. It's made from the following - Suzuki RM125 Clutch basket and using 5 plates (they usually have 7) Sintered Lambretta Steels TV200 springs Lambretta solid crownwheel He had to alter the basket to take 5 plates Machined down the crownwheel to make it all clear the chaincase Trimmed the outer of the steels to match Drilled out the rivets to remove the Suzuki cush/crownwheel, then bolted to a Lambretta crownwheel. He's done two others that I know of. A 6 plate kit using Aprilia RS125 parts, and another Suzuki RM clutch as a 6 plate kit. The 6 plate kits need a chaincase packer.
