Do note as well; Even after the "100" years that the Lamenters were stuck inside the Warp and came out, they were inspected by the Inquisition and NONE, and I mean, NONE of them had a single taint of Chaos during those "100" years.

The Lamenters are quite possibly, no definitely, the most HUMAN Astartes there are. If Abaddon somehow manages to reach the gates of the Imperial Palace again, he will find the Lamenters there waiting for him, and they will throw him back into the Eye of Terror screaming in fear. The most terrifying enemy is one that has lost everything, and done so time after time. The Lamenters have always lost, even in victory. You can't frighten them, because they already know fear.

The Lamenters were the first non 2nd founding chapter I've learned about and ever since they've been one of my favorite. They are sons of Sanguinius through and through!

I remember listening to adeptus rediculis on the lamenters and i know of them before then.but that episode made me want to know about them.while i was reading on the wiki about in there artifact section i saw the flag bearing the chapters symbol upon it. Apperently there are sisters of battle who primarly focus upon finding lost relics of chapters,legions,etc well apperently one of those sisters found.that flag and was tasked to purify it in the name of the emperor."and it was said that when she went into that room to purify the flag she could do not but weep. Weep for those fallen and those true sons of the emperor may thay ever fight at his side".

He only makes one mistake in this video and it's that the Fire Hawks aren't sons of Vulkan they're Ultramarines successors. But yeah they are the best Bois. Lamenters need 999.

you know, i've always thought this about the Lamenters: for all their bad luck and misfortunes, all the horrors and bs the universe throw at them and yet, they're still here, they still fighting the good fight if that isn't luck, idk what is

I may be misremembering, but during their time as part of the Maelstrom Wardens they fought a massive living warp/space hulk abomination. While fighting alongside other chapters, mainly the Astral Claws, it was discovered that they had significantly more resilience to the effects of the warp/chaos than even historically very pure chapters. (Edited for spelling.)

Watching the story of the Lamenters is like watching an adoption center full of service dogs getting burnt...

I can't believe you did Lamenters and haven't touched the Sanguinius video. The Sanguinius video was a beautiful story detailing the life and death of the great angel and the hope that was in the early days before everything started breaking down until the final confrontation aboard the Vengeful Spirit.

I remember your imperial guard lore vid about the Astartes being called shield of humanity when the guardsmen being the shield in reality. What would you call the Lamenters? The armor of humanity? Edit: When I first heard of them, the Lamenters are easily my favorite.

Was Huron right about what he did making his reformed “legion” or was there any he was right about or was he wrong on everything? What do you think would’ve happened had the inquisition not butted in during the badab war?

The only chapter that can be labeled as PALADINS. The Grey Knights may face Demons, but they care very little for the life of the average human.

My theory is their gene seed makes them "clones" of Sanguineous. Hear me out We all know clones have absurd levels of bad luck, to the point where it's fatal 99% of the time. A great example is the guard regiment, comprised of cloned heros of the best soldiers in the militarium, and yet either during the missions they are on or shorty thereafter, the guard regiment is 99% wiped out nearly to a man due to some form of unexplainable bad luck. Hell, another great example was when fabius Bile made a PERFECT CLONE OF HORUS after the heresy equipping him with armor and his signature power mace world breaker. Long story short, Abbadon fought clone horus for control of the legion, and guess what abbbadon WON cause "world breaker" the power mace that horus used to duel the emperor shattered during their fight at a key point in their fight. Seriously, most clones die off early or have REALLY bad luck in 40k Anyways back to my theory. My theory is that whatever the mechanium did to the gene seed during the cursed founding was in part related to trying to clone the primarch, of which they failed and used whatever came from the experiment as genetic material for the lamenters gene seed, thus making them "clones" Basically, the idea is that the mechanium made good enough gene seed that the universe designated the lamenters as sudo-clones My best guess is that they basically cloned Sanguineous hope and self sacrificing traits, because have you SEEN how much s**t they've been through, any other chapter would've easily turned traitor long ago, yet the lamenters remain loyal and caring for humanity.

To lament is to remember.

Women cry over emotions and feelings. Girly men cry when they feel pain. Real Men cry when they hear stories of warriors standing against impossible odds. refusing to stain their honor by running away to save themselves while innocent people die refusing to let others die to save ourselves.
