Mel told Martell that he still allowed people to think she was cheating. Martell implied it and didn’t correct it. This is why Mel won’t have anything to do with him. Martel wants everybody to think bad about Mel. That’s why there’s no trust, amongst other things.

It’s a legal battle. It’s not wise to talk about court proceedings on the show as anything can be used against you. She’s protecting herself in case he tried to get her to say something and it’s gets chopped up in the editing room.
From the beginning of this show season one episode, one was Mel giving him a last chance at his marriage to her. Remember the first episode she came out the gate with him cheating. She kept going to him. She’s gonna walk out on him, even when she was staying at the hotel for her downtime her me time. That was her plotting her exit strategy. She got with those lawyers to make sure she exited in a way that wouldn’t hurt her and her kids. Now her career is fine she’s doing well she’s good she doesn’t care about him and where he goes. He hates it all those feelings were true he was feeling he tried to paint her to be the villain he too late. She already got that done from day one straight out the gate, proving her point about him.
