Really helpful series, thank you! You have clearly mastered what you do. If you are using linoleum, and the underside is not exposed, do you use a cheap laminate on the underside? I am just wondering whether you need to mirror lino on both sides, or whether laminate will do and keep costs down. Thanks :)
Thanks for the compliment! I think I mention that in part1? Fully understand people skip a few parts here and there so no problem if you missed it. When using linoleum the backside should be covered but linoleum is not necessary on backside. Either use cheap laminate or a special backing paper supplied by linoleum manufacturer. I have never used the paper myself, I always use cheap laminate.
Thank you very much for all this information and tips. You really help a lot! I have a question about the final gluing of the top of the cabinet: how is the adhesion of the glue of the domino (side) with the laminate on the underside of the top? Did the glue used adhere to the lower laminate? Tks again !!
You're welcome. Glue doesn't stick to laminate. The top is glued to the cabinet using dominos, no glue at all between sides and underside of the top. I mention the domino slots in the end of 2b where you also can see them. Wasn't really part of this video where I just wanted to show how to make a top like this.
