2020 Mix 4 from the Walmart-exclusive Hot Wheels Boulevard line is out, and here is a look. And I showcase yet another Dream Customs Diorama Mat. Find it at www.dreamcustoms.co
what really pisses me of are the scalpers that grab all the cars and not having any empathy to leave for others in my store. Unlike USA, only Walmart sells premium Hotwheels like Car Culture so finding these are extremely rare in Canada and local hobby dealers sell them for 3 to 4 times the price they sell for at Walmart. Maybe that is what pushed me away from Hotwheels, but I still like the excitement of looking at new models that they release.
Hey man I live in the US but like my Walmart is also very little in car culture because everyone grabs the newest set and usually they are for their kids or really old collectors like in their 60s
I import a bunch of new car cultures into Canada. I sell them 50$CAD / set of 5 car culture or fast and furious + shipping. Walmart in Quebec isnt stocking up anything. We are still on jh3, cruise boulevard and fast rewinds.
My local Walmart, they are the peg warmers of the set. I do like it very much but, I will wait until I get the 2 others that are always missing! Have no desire for the VW.
True, it's the only car I got from this mix. Didn't really care for the others. I don't really like japanese imports, the Stradale looks cool but not my cup of tea. Anyways, at least I don't struggle with scalpers and/or overpriced secondary market because of my hot rod/muscle cars interest.
@@josephkusanagi5918 you must live in a very boring world....... My Automotive taste is exactly like petrolicous but with a infasis on classic race cars........... Twin mills was a fictional toy art car which was recently turned into a real car. It's too goofy and cartoony.... But I've noticed hot wheels collecters generally like the typical midwest dorky hot rod stuff with the cheezy exaggerated customs that you would see at that hot wheels car show......
My fave mix by far! Seems to have everything for anyone, the 86 for JDM fans, Alfa for classic euro guys (yours truly), kool kombi + mooneyes for both collectors of those, etc.
Just seen the 33 Stradale and I had to buy the set reminds me of the TV show Hardcastle and McCormack from the 80's, these are going to be chased in the future.
Good mix, the Alfa is the sleeper by far! The AE86 is obviously the star and rightfully so, very good to have it back. However that Alfa is absolutely amazing.
My theory is that half the reason they're doing the Alfa-Romeo 33 Stradale, not that it isn't worth doing on its own merits, is that it's about the closest car they can make to a classic 250 era Ferrari without the Ferrari license, which I hope returns to Hot Wheels soon (sorry, the Tomica Limited Vintage Ferraris may be nice but what I like most is being able to actually find Ferrari diecast at normal brick-and-mortar stores and no stores near me even carry Bburago Ferrari anymore).
I really have enjoyed this run of boulevard. It's not nearly as watered down with unlicensed snoozers. The Twin Mill is a yawn for me though. The AE86 is fabulous and so is the Alfa.
That's a really good Boulvard mix, the Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno and the '69 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (nice surprise btw) beeing my favorites here. The rest are nice too. Thanks for showing these loose!
OMG if they do initial D livery im going to LOSE it!!!!!! Man when comparing the old and new 86 you can see the fine tuning almost a dieting effect is what i see. The windows are where i find it most noticeable and then the rear apex and rest of body is just so edgy which is what i honestly love about it the car as it is stock. so glad they put the flip up headlights. skyline is another one of my faves and so far only one i found in store. Thank you Lamley!
The yellow headlights on the Ae86 look familiar... they’re giving me a sense of D e j a V u. Seriously though, I think that casting is the same one of my initial d replica,
I have been to 3 different WALMART stores here in Colorado and looked at 20 1969 ALFA ROMEO models (number 19 in this series), I think there is a misprint, 19 models out of 20 had no black thin line imprinted on the bottom of the doors below the silver or chrome thin stripe or it looked like they had a slight trace of a very thin black ink below the silver/chrome thin line. Number 20 in this series the NISSAN SKYLINE C 219 it was a little pricier than the other 4 model released at the same time that sell for $US 5.47 each, this model is priced fo $US 6.62, maybe a scanning or computer error on the store side, need to take it back
Awesome boulevard mix 4 set you got, you open up, and you reviewed congrats.👍 I will be on the hunt for all 5 of those and I can't wait to add all 5 of those to my hot wheels collection.👍
So who designed the Kool Kombi? I called and emailed Mattel with no response- I figured you could find out! I'm guessing Phil Riehlman? But I want to be for sure - do you or any of you other folks know?
