The Roman Red 62' Impala brings back great memories for me. It was my father's first new car. Dad's had a red interior. I remember going for rides from Brooklyn, N.Y.C to the catskills and all the way to Connecticut on a Sunday just to see the site's. Dad took me to my first trip to the baseball hall of fame in that car.😊
Auto World has a modern Camaro and 2 modern Mustang castings, yet they don't have a modern Challenger. If they could tool a Challenger that could replicate models from 2008 to the present, that would be killer. Imagine Hellcats, Demons, R/T's, T/A's, and more; with different hoods, spoilers, wheels, widebody flares, ect. as options.
I love AW but I'd rather see a Lincoln Continental (any version) and the 76 Buick Park Avenue over the Toyota supra - the supra is all over the market. Mini GT being the best!
Totally agree! That said it is awesome they are doing non-US as that opens up a lot of possibilities (hopefully they do ones others havent done like more USA specific/popular Japanese cars...4runner, Lexus, Nissan Maxima etc)
Finding the F-150 and the C10 from the last set of 2019 is such a pain. They get scalped hard; even before they hit the shelves. It really wouldn't surprise me if some employees are taking them. Typical Walmart employees won't even check their back stock, even after they've scanned the UPC and have found an on hand quantity. I REALLY MISS ToysRus.
Don't give up quite yet. They just hit one of my local Walmart's on Saturday. Got lucky enough to hit the F-150 version A ultra red and the regular C10
Have to say that I am liking these AW sets. So much that I bought 2 sets of 1A from local WM. Also, these colors are just perfect! Need to make sure to find 1B now. The Plymouths are very cool.
Awesome mix. Great video! To the folks that say they cant get them, these are very easy and affordable to get from hobby dealers. Combine shipping with other stuff you want and save gas and time and stress.
The Roman red 1962 Impala is just a reissued one. I know Auto World could have come out with another color they haven't come out with yet. But I'm still a big fan of theirs.
Very cool stuff in this assortment, but one quibble with the Chevy trucks: the chassis that they are using is a 4wd, not 2wd with the 5 lug wheels. Come on guys, do your research! GM trucks from 1971 to 1999, 2wd trucks are 5 lug wheels, 4wd ones have 6 lug wheels. The trucks they're doing all have the 5 lug wheels on them but the chassis has the front axle and transfer case molded into them. I finally found one of 2019 release 4 black C10 and saw this. Also the 4wd ones are called K10's. GM didn't go back to all the half ton trucks having 6 lug wheels until 1999 for pickups and 2000 for the sport utilities. This was done to standardize more chassis parts
I LIKE THE LOOK of those 1958 plymouth Belvederes with two tone interiors, this is the second release of the belvedere's the rest of the 1958' plymouth's released were fury's. AW is saving money on tire license i see the only ones with white letter tires in this batch are the new jeeps.
Okay so the Jeep Wrangler looks GREAT but what hurts is that the front fender needs to have the new fake vent though. Look at your MBX Jeep Wrangler, then this one, and you will see the glaring difference. As a matter of fact that is the main visual cue I use to ID the "Newest gen" Wrangler on the streets.
Stop it Lamley, this is car porn LoL. Beautiful Autoworld castings all around. The '58 Plymouth Belvedere and the '76 Chevy C10 Fleetside are my favorites, although both 2017 Mustangs look great too. I'm leaned towards the A set this time, but i'll get both Chevy C10s for sure. Thanks for the nice presenation John!
God I miss toys r us Walmart and Hobby lobby suck . Hobby lobby they are too expensive and over priced and Walmart has a poor selection or no selection because scalpers always take up all the castings before the store puts them up in the pegs . At least toys r us has a large section. I can always depend on toys r us on auto world but not anymore.
This hobby is kinda crap with everyone wanting nissans and shitty Chevy pickup trucks. Hardly any Ferrari at all out in the wild any more. I guess Mattel pissed off Ferrari.
