There is an older set of 4 cars. That I believe was a gas station promo. They came in bags and included an old ford thunderbird, an Indy car, a tanker truck, and a blimp.
Great video I found the gulf chevelle at a car show yesterday as well as a yellow 65 mustang convertible from 96 that is packaged wrong. The car that's in the basic cars package is one that was meant to be part of the 30 years of pony power 3 car box set. Keep up the great work.
A nice Ford Focus RS or Lamborghini Huracan SuperTrofeo Gulf would be good. Even a Boneshaker. As it happens, I have a Gulf Livery Shaker already, which I found because a guy I know had discovered it online. I'm in the process of making the Lambo but a Focus and an Escort would be amazing
The Gulf Transit (Cargo Carrier's) is one of the two from the series that people are leaving. Because I was with you, I thought the scalpers would pick up the Mooneyes and the Gulf and leave the rest, but seems to be the opposite.
The Kafer is my favorite by far. Gulf on Chevys make no sense same with the Indy. Target should do a premium Indy car with the Target livery with Penske bolts.
Love the Gulf livery on all of these models. Love collecting these. My favorites are the 70 Chevelle SS and the Ford Transit Supervan. We *need* to see the VW Kafer Racer in a Gulf livery either in a future Car Culture set or in the mainline. thanks for showing these!
They also made unlicensed gulf inspired decos. There are two Shelby GT500 (one mainline and one 5 pack exclusive), a Prototype H-24, a Honda Racer with a few more colors and a generic that i don't remember the name, but is has the same blue that's been used and a orange stripe.
Love the Ford GT LM or GT40. Can remember buying my Chevelle with the livery on it from new. Shame they only did the Porsche 917 in its long guise & not the short 917 that Steve McQueen drives in Le Mans.If its any help as an idea, the Huracan Super Trofeo would suit the colours. I'm currently painting a spare yellow I have in the colours as a trial
My favourite is definitely the Porsche 993. I collect Porsche Hot Wheels and that is one I am missing! It looks just stunning in the Gulf livery, good on you for collecting all of the Gulf livery cars. :D
You should really get the gulf porsche 917 from the 100% porsche set from 1998. Ultra detailed, opening hatch and a much better stance . I think it was the first hot wheels to feature proper gulf livery.
Awesome gulf racing car's collection you have and you reviewed congrats thumbs up. A My favorite one is the Volkswagen drag bus. And B I would love to see the gulf racing livery on the dairy delivery thumbs up.

I really liked your collection of Gulf Racing vehicles. I am glad that Mattel has obtained the Gulf Racing license to use on some of the models. It is so hard to have a favorite model with the Gulf Racing livery on it, but I will say, I do like the Indy 500 Oval and the Porsche 917 LH. The models that I think would look good in Gulf Racing livery, as far as future Hot Wheels models, would be the Porsche 356A Outlaw, Volkswagen Scirocco GT24, 1971 Porsche 911, Porsche 934.5, Chevrolet Corvette C7.R, 2016 Ford GT Race, Volkswagen Kool Kombi, and Circle Tracker. I cannot wait to see the video you do on Falken Tire models. That is going to be a great video.
I'd like to see the Gulf livery on something bigger. They've done it on the Dairy Delivery, Rocket Oil, and VW Drag Bus. Why not a semi or a hauler, licensed or otherwise. I'd love to see a blue/orange Back Slider, or bring back the old mainline Cabbin' Fever. Hell, make a Gulf racing hauler/car combo, or even just a Track Stars racing semi.
I think that the matchbox globe travelers gulf ford gt is very underrated, and under priced. For a little while some of them warmed the pegs in my area so I bought almost everyone I saw. People will come around. It's a great looking car/casting.
Great video. Have all of the Mainlines, need most of the Special Collection cars. ... I wonder if the original Hot Wheels Prototype H-24 in light blue/orange (2008 New Model) was meant to be in Gulf Racing Livery but for some reason it didn't work out with licensing... The 50th Porsche Anniversary 4-car set has a nice 917K in Gulf livery.
I've only seen two individual Matchbox Globe Travelers at stores up here. Fortunately for me, one of them was the Gulf GT40. And good thing I picked it up when I did because so far I haven't seen any others.
If the Porsche 959 counts as a "current" casting, I'd love to see that in Gulf colours. I know the Porsche 914 got a Car Culture release last year but I'd be happy if they released another one as a Gulf car.
It's not technically the Gulf racing livery but there are some promotional Hot Wheels with the Gulf logo on them from I believe the 1980s. The '57 T-Bird is one, straight baby blue with the Gulf logo on the hood. There was also a tanker truck with the Gulf logo on the side. I never had either of them as a kid, I don't think they were available outside of Gulf stations and the few Gulf stations that existed in my area got bought up by Petro Canada in the early 1980s, though I swear I remember small Gulf logos appearing on a few other Hot Wheels in logo clusters on race cars but I can't find proof of that.
That's a cool collection, thanks for sharing! I think a couple of castings that would be nice to see in Gulf livery would be the Mercedes AMG and the Cadillac ATS-V
