Very good run down on the Gasser and you collection is epic!!!....I've not myself come across to many Gassers that as such I think I've only got 3 which only 1 of what you showed I actually had myself being that "Bad Gasser".....Always love your videos....My go to channel for anything to do with Hotwheels like many ppl I am sure.....Keep up the great work!! :)
Mattel claimed my RLC membership entry was too late, and I wanted the Chrome membership. I ended up without any of them! One of my favorite newer castings, too. Thanks for the very informative video.
While I am not as big a fan of the Gasser as I am of, say, the Datsun 510 or 240Z, I will say that the paint finish of the last 3 RLC cars you opened at the end is one of THE BEST paint jobs I've ever seen on any Hot Wheels model ever (along with the Candy Striper). I really wish I had those but I only have the original basic version in matte grey. One day I'll own the RLCs hopefully xD.
Hi, your channel is the only one I do enjoy the most, because the quality of your video's are the best. Also what you show whether it's a treasure hunt or a super treasure hunt, always with enthusiasm in your voice. I like your pronunciation when it comes to a fantastic car you are going to show in your video. That really makes a difference to other channels. I'm only able to collect mainlines because I'm also collecting 1/18 scale high end racing models. Therefore I decided to put my money on. I really like the primer grey and matt black versions released in the mainline, and was totally admiring all those gorgeous mirror finishes at the end. Great round-up of the '55 Chevy Gassers John =)
The popular releases are hard to obtain for me. With castings like the 510 Wagon and the Gasser, i don't stand a chance against those scalpers who immediately swipe up every last one but are still kind enough to leave me behind some crappy fantasy dragon car treasure hunt.
Super late to comment on this but I just felt like re watching this again. When he pulled out the candy strip gasser and said they can go for 350 on ebay I gasped. I would buy 3 at that price, now people want 1200+ for them 😪😪 times have changed!
I'm kinda catching up because I've only been collecting for about 2 months but now I have a ton of holes to fill in. At this point though I would argue that the dirty blonde is the prettiest 55 gasser. The candy striper is cool but to me it's cool now because it's worth almost 2 grand
Why does Hotwheels use blower engine when a lot of the artwork shows highrise dual carb intake. Could anyone influence them to make the highrise version?
I hope Hot Wheels keeps the gasser to a limited number per year. I am guessing they will wear-out-the-rug on these beautiful cars with 5 different cars a year...or more.
I have 25 different variations so far of this casting. now it's getting expensive and very hard to find the ones I'm needing I actually found one I needed couple days back at my local hotwheels store and went to pay for it and the owner said it was not for sale that he needed it his self lol go figure what could I say he's the reason I have what I have gotten lol
sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but in real life you couldn't put the exhaust pipe's so close to the tires. But i do love the gasser and your videos also thanks.
