A first “what if” take on the Fast & Furious series by Hot Wheels, and it is fantastic. Let’s rip these open and dig in to each casting. Thanks to Mattel for sending these.
Besides de set, this is to recognize the work of John in these videos, this one in particular. The end reflecting the old and new versions of the cars is artistic. Is a pleasure to see diecast models whith great light and sight and not just anyone open a blister or 'copy and paste' images for making a video. Great job Lamley Group. Congratulations!
I finally got my hands on a skyline 2000 GT-X Hakosuka with Sakura Sprinter as well as Jaguar E type light weight with Carry on, Bre Datsun with Fleet Flyer, Nissan Fairlady Z with Sakura Sprinter, R34 with Aero lift, and the red and white KenMeri Skyline 2000 GT-R basic today! I'm so happy to have gotten all that I did. Awesome Fast and Furious rewind set
As someone who isn't all that interested in the F&F movies, I will still say that this is a very creative idea by the Mattel design team! While the yellow C210 makes me hope they do something like that without the F&F graphics, as that is a beautiful color for that car, these make a great set of doppelgangers for fans of the Furious franchise. I totally agree on that 240Z though; looks fantastic regardless of whether you care for the F&F theme or not. Anyway, great showcase video, thanks John. :)
I got an idea for a better F&F lineup: Fast Forward (modern cars with paint jobs based on the classical cars of F&F) 1) '15 Dodge Charger SRT (based on '70 Charger RT) 2) Ford Shelby GT350R (based on the green Mustang Fasback from Tokyo Drift) 3) '14 Corvette Stingray Convertible (based on the Corvette Roadster from Fast 5) 4) '17 Ford GT (based on the GT40 from Fast 5) 5) '16 Camaro SS (based on the orange Camaro) Bad Guy Cars 1) Honda S2000 (from the first movie) 2) Nissan 350Z (from Tokyo Drift) 3) '72 Ford Gran Torino Sport (from F&F 4) 4) Flip Car (from F&F 6) 5) Aston Martin DB9 (from Furious 7) Fast Favourites 1) Mazda RX-7 Veilside (from Tokyo Drift) 2) Honda S2000 (from 2F2F) 3) '70 Dodge Charger RT 4) Toyota Supra 5) Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder (from 2F2F)
Oh, that Hellcat idea is really good. The Fast Rewind premise is actually "Fast and Furious cars, but their counterpart from 20-30 years prior," so the Dodge Charger doesn't really work for this series. But, doing a take on that where they do the classic muscle from F&F and put those designs on the modern versions of the car would be awesome.
The Fast rewind series was released in Australia about 5-6 weeks ago and of course is very popular, i just love the artwork and for me the Mazda Rx3 is special as i owned a coupe when i was around 19yrs of Age. Love your work Lamley !!!
thanks for putting them next to the counterparts but you should tell them to do a proper 350z for the love of all that is holy... yes I'm bias because I own two 350z's
the fairlady card art should have been a 350z. And with that said, hot wheels should retool the 350z casting as it's current size is just too fat and sports way too big wheels. Hopefully we get a retool for a premium release down the road since F&F does have atleast 3 very cool 350zs they could do in the F&F premium lineup.
Not the BIGGEST fan of some of the decos, but MAN that artwork with the reflections nodding the original screen cars is genious! Really cool set cant wait to find em!
You should've put the Fairlady Z with the 350Z. Premium or not doesn't matter. It would just make sense to see them side by side, since that's what this set is all about.
Really nice set, BUT i have one observation to make: Extreme close-ups don't do the tampo quality any favors, as they look blurry and low resolution. Anyway, the Nissan Fairlady Z and the 'Hakosuka' Skyline are my favorites here, although the others (like the new Slivia CSP311) look nice too. Thanks for the presentation.
This is such a weird set, but I love the card art reflection thing they did. Not really a fan of any of these but the RX-3, I would be far more interested in getting it if I ever found the normal set.
Awesome Fast & Furious Fast Rewind Cars You Open Up and You Reviewed congrats thumbs up. They're All my Favorites Thumbs Up. I will be on the Hunt for All 5 of Those and I can't wait to add all 5 of those to my Hotwheels Collection Thumbs Up.
Enjoy your videos I'm also a car culture of hot hot wheel collector thanks for notice that the hot wheel convention is coming to Charlotte North Carolina 2020 my hometown
Man I found me a case at my local Target and the manager at Target said I couldn't by one set not even one set man I hope he gets fired, he said they were sold, I think to him though that punk.
Ah right the old premiere gag where you sit down with a bit of time to relax, check your subscription page for a video to watch, see a nice new lamley video but can't watch it because you have to wait 4 hours for some reason?? By that stage its going to be buried in my subscription list under newer videos, I don't get the point in it.
Not to be that guy, but it's really bugging me. PLEASE stop saying Japan Historics 3 when it was 1 and 2 you were referring to😂... Did it like 5 times before finally getting right at 8:43🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
While I love all of these releases, I'm so glad our tastes have evolved to a "cleaner" look on these cars rather than those goofy graphics. What terrible taste we had in the early 2000's. Just ridiculous designs.
