On this adventure we head to Legian, Bali for lamp shopping, So come along with us and see what we find. Google Maps Starlight Bali : maps.app.goo.gl/T9HbksNWkircS...
great video, thanks very much, I guess I am carting bloody lamps through the airport now, LOL, i will try and hide this one from her,.looks like oversized baggage for the first time, she can carry the coffee table
Sorry, didn't ask but we have been shopping there for years and never seen them , so they are a new design. We liked them but don't know price. If your keen to know , they are on Facebook Starlight Bali, I'm sure just ask about coffee table on how much or if your in Bali , call in. The shop is pretty easy to find. Sorry couldn't be more of help. Thanks for feedback.
The beautiful lamp at end of your video you stood by - how would you get home even if wrapped? Do they just go as part of total suitcase weight allowance?
Not sure who you fly with, but from Australia we fly Jetstar and their option is to book Oversize Luggage on return leg, If you book it when u make your booking , They charge $25 AUD for oversize luggage ( Remember there's always like 20 surfboards in oversize and that lamp is lighter than a surfboard ) Also about same size, I can not say about other airlines but for us it would not be a issue and is doable. As you can see in video , That lamp was sold to a Oz client so im sure be going on a plane for transport. Hope it helps. Thanks for feedback.
Hey guys binged watched your channel before coming to bali and im in kuta now, do you think the sales people on the streets to be alot more pushy and in your face compared to salesmen in phucket? Ive been to patong beach countless times now and want to try bali because it was cheap and so far its great. Cheers guys
Hey Ollie, Thanks for finding us, We find Bali to be more pushy that Phuket, saying that we didn't do alot of shopping in Phuket, Mainly Bangkok but think Bali is more in your face, This is our personal opinion in Bali the Javanese are more pushy that Balinese sellers. A firm no usually enough to stop the hassle, How are you finding Kuta, Do you have any favourite places you like better, Hows the food? For us the ease of getting to Bali from Oz (direct flight) we love Thailand just getting there for us is the problem (No direct flight for us) Thanks for feedback.
@@BecMattAdventures overall Kuta has been great and the locals have been really nice. Next time I think we would like to find a place abit quieter and with a nicer beach. We have our 6month old son with and he has been loving all the attention but the firework every night at 7pm and the beach has alot of plastic in it, so we might try a different part of Bali. Warung babi guling men gede , down thr ally next to the mecure hotel has an amazing Indonesian menu based around pork and everything is under $10 (Must try). We are based in Perth, Australia so bali is 3 1/2hr flight which is great and yes same for us there is no direct flight to phucket unfortunately.
Awesome, Sanur, letian and seminyak are all nice, we just went to Candidasa, very quiet, keep a eye outforvideos on that. Enjoy your time in Bali and let us know if you find something and we need to try. Bec & Matt
Sure , we are happy to help, there's a few things to know so we can point you in right direction. Whats important for you ( matt calls them non negotiable ) eg swim up bar, balcony buffet brekky, big room Rough age bracket of traveller's? How many going? Also when do you expect to go to Bali.
@BecMattAdventures family of 1 couple in 40s and adult daughter in her mid 20s, need 2 rooms and don't like too much noise or hustle and bustle, nice pool and walkable to good eating places, hopefully no more than around $180 total per night for 2 rooms 😀
I would recommend 2 places, look them up and decide what suits you best. 1 : Baleka resort & spa in Legian ( pretty large hotel , comfy bed clean , great aircon, lovely hotel, alot of eating places around) We stayed in lagoon pool view room $55 a night no brekky. 2: Ady's inn small hotel, right on garlic lane, was super quiet on noise ( it was a concern to us) alot of eating places around, very central. 3 types of rooms. Standard are small ( perfect for 1 ) about $50 a night Queen room about $70 , nice large room, diffrent style of room They do a king room, bigger again.$95 about Look them up, we just stayed at both Recommend both hotels, they fit Bec & Matt good value. Personally I go with room at either hotel ( no brekky , as alot of choices around either hotel for brekky) We will have videos come out on them eventually but you might have gone over by then. Hope this helps. Look them up on Google maps or tripadvisor and I'm sure 1 of these will fit the brief.
Love the work you do . Great informative information on travel . I am looking for a dressmaker in Bali any chance you will be doing video on where to source dressmaker in Bali ? We love everything you do always looking forward what you put up next on U Tube.,thanks Bec and Brett.
@@paulinesanders9303 We don't have a reliable source for a dressmaker at the moment and will only recommend a person that we had personal dealings with so we know if we recommend that delivers to a standard that we expect. Ill ask around and see and get back to you. if i can find a name. Thanks for feedback , We appreciate it. Bec & Brett 😄😄 We know what you mean
