We are a couple in our 40's (just) that love to travel and is always looking for good value ( well Matt is anyway) , Mainly to SE Asia and Bali , Come along with us and we will show you how to travel and get good value without breaking the bank, that everyone can afford. We are from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
Geez you cant even get a big breakfast in Perth for less then $20, 😮 We went to the Local, It was very busy, but food was good, but i didnt get a rose 😂😂
Good to hear, Maybe we were there right time for the rose, That's why Bali is attractable to us , the culture and lower prices makes it a affordable holiday, Saying that prices have increased alot over last 5 years or so. Thanks for feedback.
I was told by our Bali Driver that if you want to keep the germs away, drink at least once a day the fresh juices made with lemon & lime. I had abit if a sore throat on my 4th day there & it only took one drink to help clear it 😍
@@BecMattAdventures Kasava Bar & Resto in Seminyak, their spring rolls were yummy, and their chicken satay & Fried rice. Another place I loved was Natys Restaurant 😍

Hi Bec & Matt, Love your videos very informative , Don't know if anyone has ever mentioned this but you both remind me so much of Darryl and Sal Kerrigan from the movie The Castle , Could you throw a few of there lines in your next video like , “What do you call this? , “How's the serenity?, “Tell him he's dreamin'” , Well done on video's , Keep up the great work , I'm heading off to Boonie Doon.
Thanks for your kind words Phil, Fist time for the castle Darryl and Sal, We take that as a honor being thought of like that in a piece of Australiana. We have been referred to Kath & Kel Knight (Kath & Kim ) a few times and our family calls us Onslow & Daisy from Keeping up appearances (Matt and his Bintang singlets ) We are booked up for a while but come 2025 , Matt will take pride doing some Darryl sayings ( Stay tuned ). Love the Bonnie Doon. Thanks for feedback.
Called Two Bob - Situated Jln Legian No.337, Legian, Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali 80361, Indonesia or Google Maps - maps.app.goo.gl/SxPQXF68jkhV99bR9 Pretty easy to find , ON Jalan Legian St in Legian Hope that helps, Thanks for feedback.
some did but mainly just put it upto me and see if it fitted, Can report back that the quality of stuff i bought is excellent, Stuff still looks brand new and the quality is superb. Thanks for feedback.
Legian shop was lovely food as well, It's just Matt doesn't like paying the money, Might have to go there myself hahaha. Thanks for thee tip. Thanks for feedback.
Your going at a lovely time if year, Be sure to let us know what was good and what was so not after your trip. Love to hear peoples experiences. Thanks for feedback.
Question about travel insurance. I am assuming Matt has a full Australian bike licence, but I am just wondering about travel insurance for Bec as a pillion passenger? I am having trouble getting accurate advice for the passenger. I have a full bike licence and always get an international driving/riding permit no matter where I travel to. You just never know when you might need it
Great question, Yes Matt has Aust open bike license , To be fair we might need to check up on that ourselves but this is what i believe, We take out unlimited medical and most policies offer high risk activities (Scooter) and our both names are under that policy so we would be covered if we have taken high risk or what ever they call it to cover scooter riding. Long as your doing the right thing (helmet,Proper license , no alcohol drugs if any incident happens ) That's my belief in how i read it but could be wrong. Hope this helps. We shuffle around on insurance but over the years have used Insure & go, Allianz , Budget direct - Always take basic for unlimited medical - and then buy the add ons for high risk scooter. Thanks for feedback.
@@BecMattAdventures That was my understanding as well. We get complimentary insurance if we spend at least $500 on holiday costs like flights from our HSBC credit card. It is covered by Allianz so I will make further inquiries with them. But yes it's an important issue that people need to be aware of. We see too many people get into trouble.
Haha i call him my handbrake. Saying that he does a good job managing the finances with the amount of travel we do. But he likes to hold me back lol. Thanks for feedback.
Thanks again guys. Another great video. Please keep reviewing the Warungs and Balinese traditional food. So many other Bali vloggers skip the Warungs 😊
We went there a few days ago, very nice and cheap. Best coffee. Have you been at Duke Melasti? We went there last nite. Not so great, expensive, slow service. Great videos, keep up. We live in Bogor in the mountain area and visit bali often. Cheers Wolter
Hi Wolter, Thank you for your kind words, Bogor on Java , That's somewhere different , How do you like it, Must be different compared to Australia. Have you settled in there at Bogor as we have never been to java yet. No have not been to Duke as it's very new and like to give some time to find there feet and seem really touristy, But Duke is newest pub on Melasti. Thanks for feedback.
Great to hear! Have a great time , Wish we were back in Bali sadly back in oz and working. Be sure to let us know once you get home what worked and what was your favourite and what didn't you like. Have a great time. Thanks for feedback.
I normally have my meals in Kuta or Tuban, but if in Legian I'll ride to the Legian Food Court. At least I know my money is going to the locals. Where possible, I'll avoid any restaurants owned by Australians. Although if I want to watch AFL, NRL, or MotoGP, sometimes there's no choice but to frequent a foreign-owned bar.
G'day James, We love Legian food court your right on there, Yes while we agree with you what so far we see the Aussie owners do seem to do a good job over there with staff and jobs, (Looking after there staff) Same with sport they do cater for us by having the games on TV which always brings a crowd. Agreed support local families first, which mostly in our videos we love supporting little family warungs. Thanks for feedback, Getting closer till you go now.
We love our dogs, Matt takes zip lock bags over and buys dog food and always has a bag in his bag for whenever we see dogs, As we say we can not save them all but give them a feed till tomorrow. Was going to do a video on the Bali dogs but decided to bring them into our videos as you don't have to walk far to ever see a cute street dog. Thanks for feedback.
We have hit and miss over the years with local coffee, Bec reckons she need to have a shave after drinking local coffee with the increase of hairs put on our chest lol Thanks for feedback.
Our pleasure! We love our dogs and might not save the world but if we can give them a feed then that's what we do. Thank you for your kind words Thanks for feedback.
May I ask if the motorcycle you rented from your store can be driven to Pennida Island? Is it convenient to refuel throughout Bali?I also want to know the maximum distance these motorcycles can travel, I want the motorcycle to be my transportation throughout the entire journey ,Look forward to your reply
Hi Micheal, Yes you can what im aware 75% sure off, But you would need to take the public ferry to Nusa Penida not the fast boat as they only take people. (Personally i would leave it on mainland and hire a scooter on penida for your stay but thats upto you.) \ Every 2nd store sells fuel (Meaning could be a clothes shop but have bottles of fuel out front ) They will sell anything in Bali if it makes a dolla, for your scooter or there is service stations around. Distance no issues as you rent per day and pay daily flat rate, i know $5 USD goes along way for fuel as they are cheap to run. Hope this helps
@@BecMattAdventures Thank you for your reply. I will play in the area from Kuta to Canggu for two to three days, and then transfer to Uruwatu. Uruwatu will then go to Nushaduwa, Nushaduwa to Penida, and Penida will stay for two to three days before going to Ubu. Ubu will return to Kuta. These trips will take about ten days. I know that the daily cost of renting a motorcycle is $4 to $5. I would like to ask how much the fuel cost for this trip is. Is my itinerary reasonable? I would like to hear your advice
@MichaelJordan-z5r your trip sounds good. As to cost of fuel. Maybe $20 usd but just a guess, depend on how much you use it. As for trip time and length looks good. Have a great trip.
@MichaelJordan-z5r we only use this company as well when we go to Bali, we have nothing to with them other than rent a bike off them, they have always been good to us. Hope this helps.
Any recommendations for bike hire? Thanks to your videos we are staying at Segara! Or can we just use local transport to get around like to get to Virgin Beach?
Just down from Sagara is no problem transport, We hired a bike there , was good bike about $10 AUD a day, Recommend a bike if you can in Candidasa gives you so much freedom. Bike was like a 150cc scooter x tourer. Was very happy , Make sure the bike has phone holder, helps alot getting around esp using google maps. Use a driver if you do a big trip but trips like virgin beach and surrounds go a bike if you can, Bike gives you freedom to when you want to stop and what you want to see. Hope this helps
We only ever dealt with them once, but was easy friendly and no hassles, and just about 200m down the road on same side of sagara hotel. Have a great trip, be sure to report back And give us your review on your trip.
We just came back from Bali and made a point of taking our frames to Billy for new lenses after watching your videos. He did a great job, it was very quick and gave us a discount for mentioning Bec and Matt. Highly recommended. 👍
Mark that's awesome to hear, We can say between Billy,Honeyboy and Hollywood we know all 3 are great to deal with. Billy is a lovely man and its great that you received great service, Music to our ears and hopefully you saved some money as well. We love people going to Bali and have a great experience. We appreciate your feedback and recommendations. Thanks Mark
Any advice on bike hire? Where is the best place to get one? Do I need one? Or can I get away with using local drivers? I love riding but it is my preference to avoid it where possible. But Candidasa seems like an easy place to ride. I have a full licence and will have insurance. I just need to check to se if our insurance will cover John as my passenger.
Go with bike hire in Candidasa, easy to get around not rushed, you can ride to virgin beach easy, just drive steady and you will be fine. We just walked up the road to No problem transport , hired a bike for 3 days. Was good bike bit bigger for 100k $10 aud a day. Nice people. Get like 150cc minimum , good for 2 people. Don't get smaller bikes like scoopy or anything like 110cc to 125cc. Go 150cc or bigger. Hope this helps. Great way to see Bali at your own pace. Use private driver for alot of your day trips and long drives but would recommend a bike wherever you feel comfortable as its freedom.
Thanks for your advice, we have booked the Sagara for 5 nights in October. So we have 5 nights Kuta, 5 nights Candidasa and 8 nights in Sanur at the Prama. Love the help and advice that your channel provides!
Yes i believe they started early check in again in December 2023, When we did this video they didn't. Might want to fact check us but now i believe they do early check in. What we see on Japan airlines site that they have resumed early check in at Changi. Thanks for feedback.
Your better than us , Do they leave from domestic terminal?, Saying that 2 adults 2 kids carry luggage and bus would not drop of at hotel lobby, might be cheapest option not sure most easiest and stress free. Thanks for feedback
No not at the moment, Due to working full time and youTube, we have not commit to a Facebook page, Could change in future but as for now we only use RU-vid. Matt doesn't do social media so it would left up to me to handle. Between work (reality) and holiday and youtube it seems to keep us busy.
It's so good!, We were same as you , This was our first time away from tourist part of Bali and really enjoyed it. the place feels like you can really relax and walk down main street and not get hassled and feels like island time. Be sure to keep in touch and tell us your experience. Thanks for feedback.
Thanks for your advice. I think we are "sold" on this one. Price is fine and the location looks good too. Love your videos and look forward to our paths crossing one day! Bali October 20th to November 8th here we come
Our pleasure! You will have a great time, Very relaxed up there compared to down in the tourist areas. Thank you for your kind words. Thanks for feedback.
Great video guys. We are thinking of Candidasa for 5 nights in October as a part of our 18 night stay in Bali. Just wondering where did you stay when you were here? And did you hire the bike once you got there? Or did you ride there yourselves? We are thinking of getting transport up to Candidasa from Kuta with our regular guy and make a full day trip with him finishing up there.
G'day John and Jamie, What you have written is perfect and exactly what we did. We stayed at Segara hotel (video on that) in Candidasa , Loved it but not super cheap about $90 - $95 Aud a night but alot of options in Candidasa. Yes we just hired a bike once here , we went for 3 nights 4 days and 5 days is lovely if you plan to R & R, We had our driver take us up there and just got our bike once we arrrived. Yes getting a driver and making it as day of it coming up here exactly what we did , Make a day of it and getting to your destination. I think you have it down pat. We loved it and plan to go back. Be sure to check our Candidasa food videos for ideas where to eat as well. Be sure to report back once you have done the trip and let us know what you loved and what you didn't. If we can be any of help be sure to get in touch. Thanks for feedback.
