I cracked up at the parts where you put in "This convo is missing something... oh right swords :D" XD Also the "Your opinion has been considered, and I consider it worthless." lmao Your commentary in this video makes it all the better and funnier uwu
This is the best shut down & mic drop moment I’ve seen in a long time, if ever. Before, President Obama’s, “because I’ve won them all” when some jerk(s) laughed & clapped when he said he had no more elections ahead of him, was the best IMHO. But LWJ’s line can be borrowed by just about anyone while Obama’s is a more bespoke smack down.
Wow Yibo does such a great job of portraying 15 yr old shy, introverted teenager who just realizing his feelings and sexuality and trying to suppress them. He does it better than a lot of actual coming of age story since it’s so natural and not overly whiny and obsessive (okay LWJ may be obsessive internally lol) And then 20 years later *bam* confident gay. “I love him, fight me world”
@Von Staufenberg Looking at a random clip, you can tell if it was suppose to be when he's 15 or when he's mid 30s-40 even though he look the same physically. That's brilliant!
@Von Staufenberg I heard (don't have source at hand though) that they initially rejected him multiple times when they only saw his picture. Then when they saw him in person, they were attracted by his "cold and aloof" atmosphere so they chose him. Haha And even when many novels fans didn't believe in him initially (due to his image/shorter height than XZ), the cast directors believed in him.
@@dolphinloveremogirl Also, let's not disregard the other cast that he plays off, mainly WWX, well Xiao Zhan. This series has been wonderfully cast, in a sense that they all play off each other so well. Yibo could be the best actor in the world and if WWX was cast poorly he would suck in the role. And vice versa. Splendid job, all around. Out of the whole cast, the only person *I* would cast differently is Wen Ruohan. And not necessarily because the actor didn't do well, but I had diff expectations for that role.
@@TheLnGirl Ya of course! I think Yibo mentioned himself that he got the most help out of Xiao Zhan and was able to play his role so well because of him. And I agree for Wen Ruohen, it's more costume and character change than actor. CQL was trying too hard to make him seem "evil" but they didn't retain his charm. I like the donghua version better. Wen Rouhan is suppose to be ambitious, powerful, and charming (almost like Fire Lord Ozai).
@@dolphinloveremogirl Exactly, as much as they nailed it with Xue Yang, whom we all cannot stop "secretly" thirsting for and with JGY whom we were all rooting for (insert that Tyra gif 😂)..Wen Rouhan was a missed opportunity. I also like donghua's version way more. And any words for Xiao Zhan that I could come up with would be too little. The fact whole casts is singing his praises, says something. I just love the love in this drama on and off screen.
Raise your hand if you still cannot for the love of God move on from this story✋✋ P.s. if you haven't read the novel.. you are missing out my brothers and sisters
I admire Wei Yings acting skills... When he was serious, i literally am frieghtened for what he could possibly do... He is so bright when he smile and so dark when he gets serious..... Funny yet frigthening...
Same! I remember watching Untamed for the first time and I was very impressed with Xiao Zhan's portrayal of Wei Ying. His carefree and bright smile were very infectious. But when he turned into the Yiling Patriarch, and he's being serious and easily angered, I couldn't help but feel concerned and frightened, not because of his attitude, but because of the factors around him that might trigger his uncontrollable state. He's living peacefully with the Wen clan, but that fucking Lanling Jin clan framed him up and messed him up even more. The pain and sadness got to Wei Ying and led him to self destruct. 😢
There was a behind the scenes clip where Xiao Zhan was saying that he has so many lines for tomorrow's shooting he needs to go over and Yibo jumped in and said that he had lines for tomorrow as well to review. The others were surprised and asked how much he had. Yibo said "4 lines" with a gremlin smile. Xiao Zhan probably wanted to hit him with the script after that considering that he had pages and pages.
I feel like characters without many lines can sometimes be MORE difficult to play, because you have to listen and react to everyone else while conveying what your character is feeling. And then when you play a character like Lan Zhan who doesn't wear his heart on his sleeve AT ALL, you have to convey both the fronting emotion that they want everyone to see, AND the emotions that they're trying not to let anyone see. In short, Lan Zhan is an amazing (as well as challenging) character, and Wang Yibo absolutely knocked it out of the park.
@@thebadbitch3292 most of us are like this for the past 5 months 🤣🤣🤣 go read the novel, watch the donghua, follow the manhwa and well... praise the lord for RU-vid and lots of BoZhan content ❤️ you'll never get over this, embrace it 😂
"You're dramatic, lan wangji but you will never be more dramatic than me" 😂 I deadass laughed so hard at this HAHAHAHA jiang chen is the most dramatic handsome character ever 😂😂
Teen Lan Wangji was soooo dramatic. I loved this. Makes me think about how in the book he freakin BITES Wei Wuxian in the arm while Wei Wuxian screams at him ("are you a dog???") just because he cannot deal with the convo about Wei Wuxian flirting with Mian Mian. When poor Wei Wuxian scurries away from him all, why are you like this???? I was crying w laughter. (honestly, the fact that Wei Wuxian keeps coming back for more abuse all early months... #bravery )
I love how Lan Zhan is so...like you wouldn't expect it, but he and Wei Ying are so different and yet...utterly perfect for each other. The only one who can control Wei Ying is Lan Zhan
0:22 his expression😅 "You are not qualified to talk to me"💅 And lan zhan and Wei Ying❤️ How can they portray the teen and adult so easily I felt like they are two different persons
I love this! So many ott dramatic entrances too, like when he saves WWX from Fairy and somersaults in! This video could be hours long (although JC would be longer)! 🤣
The best thing is that in RL WWX/XZ is mature and LJ/WIB is the kid troublemaker, whenever the two get together. One moment LZ is the silent dramatic type on camera, next moment he's laughing and starting a playfight with XZ behind the scenes. These two in the same room are the best crackpots, with amazing chemistry on and off camera, I sincerely hope for the best for them, most successful careers, and that their friendship will stay strong forever.
I Love their all interaction .... very sweet and lovely.... fight but love and added boring.... then, our Lanzhan because of LOVE he put his "boring" to his back..... I'm shock and Laughing.... they are really precious our heart..... how can we move on... our LOVE and Support always for them and Forever.....
This cracked me up so hard, both the clips and your commentary :p “let me just...make a scene. wait...something is missing. oh right. swords. we need swords. much better.” 🤣
Is it just me or do I see similarities between Lan Zhan and mr. Darcy? You know, quiet, lovable, attentive, few words, devoted to their love kind of man?
You`re right! I`ve always had the impression that he reminded me of someone but dindn`t think of Mr. Darcy. Maybe it`s because of this strong resemblance, that I´m addictet to the Untamed the same way as I was to Pride and Prejudice then. Wonder but doubt if the author knows Jane Austen :-)
lwj really is just the personification of "i recognise that the council has made a decision, but given that its a stupid-ass decision, i've elected to ignore it"
Your video reminds me of this fic where Lan Zhan was silently throwing a fit, and Wei Ying turned to Sizhui and whispered, "See? Huge bitch." All because Jin Ling had proposed to him XD
LAN Zhan mi fa una tenerezza infinita...comunque questo è il drama più bello che abbia mai visto..niente lo eguaglia... è un capolavoro... complimenti agli attori e agli autori...
