Love how they're dragging her in a straightjacket as she sings "hope is a dangerous thing for a woman to have, but I have it." Also, my mother was carried away like that (even though she wasn't crazy). Woman are misunderstood. Especially, brilliant, gentle women. Die-hard fan.
What a masterpiece. Everything about this. The symbolism, the performance, the singing. It just gave a goosebumps. You could tell this meant a lot to her.
I never thought she'd ever sing this live... it's such a harrowing but beautiful song. She sounds beautiful singing it & the choir just take it another level, it almost feels like a hymn or a rallying cry. The performance aspect is incredible too.
Omfg not only she slayed the song but also the story telling/acting... especially those two dancers spinning her around as if they're taking over her while she was singin "monsters still under my bed like I could never fight off" they should up and her voice cracked and also not having the time to finish writing the "happy" word on the mirror and the way they pull her out off the stage!!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Literally honestly my favorite performance ever, even after seeing her live in 2014. I’m just honestly mind blown. If I could hug this women again and tell her how she is and never stopped being the highlight of my life 🥲
You can tell this is one of her favorite and most dear songs of hers. It's basically a poem in a conventional song format. Songwriting at it's absolute best

Omg the concert in Arkansas did a close up and the guys wearing black on their badges had cia written in the name tag and the force her to go to the guys in white probably a mental institution and as she goes to them she changed the lyrics of the song to there are secrets I have to keep to my grave or I will die off …it’s def a message just like fingertips where she’s eluding to handlers controlling her…she wanted a baby so bad but they wouldn’t let her poor Lana
Oh my God 😭 I did not know Lana performed my favourite song of hers of all time! I love this SO MUCH! I wish she would come to Toronto and perform this masterpiece 😢

I stumbled onto your music a few years ago and I have been hooked ever since.
On one hand, the choreography seemed not quite ready for a live show…like they all could’ve used a few more dress rehearsals. On the other hand, an unpolished presentation made the lyrics more realistic and raw.
she was going to write happy but didn't have time so she wrote "hap" cause the choreography had to continue lol, the dancer wrote "I saw my life un-" maybe undone? unhappy?
It doesn’t say LDR or HER, if you check Lana’s handwriting when she signs merch or on her poetry book, you can see that’s an H an A and a P that looks like an R but because she was rushing lol
