Lana, if you are listening, thank you! This song holds a very special place in my heart. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer. She was a wonderful mother and told my brother and I each and every day that she loved us. Being male, how could I ever truly understand what it means to. be a woman or a mother? Thanks to my mom and how open she was about her feelings about how much she loved being a mother. She shared with me that the most difficult part of dying of ovarian cancer is that the one body part that gave her the most joy in life (uterus/giving birth) would also be what would eventually kill her. The last night I was with her in her hospital room I jumped into bed with her. Me, a 200lbs grown man, allowed my mom to hold me like a baby and we cried. It was the most beautiful experience of my life that few people will ever experience. Every time I listen to this song, I think of my mom and I'm a better man because of her.

This rotten world doesn't deserve Lana. But I'm glad we have her. That's for sure
