The song you were thinking of in the chorus was “without you” The way she says “take off take off, take off all your clothes” is kinda similar to “hello hello, c-can you hear me”
Lana's songs with the weeknd are crazy good ❤ this song is for lana's album so it sounds like Lanamit wouldn't make sense for it to be with Abel's sound The video is the story of Peg Entwistle who jumped to her death from the Hollywood sign. The first dance sequence is from the music video of Nancy Sinatra's These boots are made for walkin'
The video is kind of inspired by Peg Entwistle. She was a young actress in 1932 who committed suicide by jumping off the Hollywood sign. I read about it in Hollywood Babylon which is one of Lana’s favourite books!
It was for lana’s album so doesn’t make sense to have or sounds like the weeknd sound. Loved both tho. Stargirl was on the weeknd album and fit with the rest of the starboy album songs, this one in on lust for life
I had this same reaction when I first heard this song. I was so excited when I saw the Wknd was featured, and I was like meh. I wanted something with more edge. They’re both known for their stories about toxic relationships, sad/dark music…Stargirl was perfect. This was too clean? Too pop? I don’t know, it’s not BAD. It’s just too polished or something. Good react as usual❤️
@@jenniferg452 yeess! I adore the witchy dark vibe the demo has, but the official one sitll got a special place in my heart for making me fall in love with lana :)
