The Matrix was a big deal back in the day, the sequels, the video games, the Animatrix even watching the making of these movies on the DVD extras back in the day was fascinating. The stunts the choreography the cinematography the costume character designs. The story the plight of the characters and their journeys. The finality and the sacrifice of Neo and Trinity's deaths to save mankind all of that just washed away. The Matrix 4 the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull......except worse.

Case study: 2 straight white guys can create one of the greatest landmark films in cinema history. A trans woman with the same creative license and background, along with 2 additional decades of filmmaking and storytelling experience, cannot make a decent movie. Change my mind.

Every Wachowski film I’ve seen has blown me away, from Matrix to speed racer. Regardless of what you think of her films, it’s impossible to deny she’s a visionary, and her work has shaped the industry in an extremely impactful way and will hopefully continue to do so.
