I feel like Guard 3 is mandatory, then Burst since it's so easy to activate and maintain with the lance, then you can choose between Offensive Guard or Resentment for more damage. OG if you're good at getting perfect blocks and thus conserve more HP, otherwise go with Resentment for a similar damage increase at the cost of a few points of HP but less stress since you can get away with normal guarding and it's much easier to maintain Resentment.

Been looking forward to your videos on Lance ever since it was announced. Thanks for the guide! Any thoughts on builds? I see a lot of potential in offensive guard and resentment with how often you can block. I wonder if like burst, these skills only affect raw. Kind of lame Lance didn't get a big raw weapon from either Diablos or Pink Rath. Good elemental lances but a shame pukei is the only raw choice really.

There is one more detail regarding the jumping charge. You can evade direct attacks if you do the jump attack. This is also very helpful and I guess an advanced technique

And now for theory crafting sets. My first is gonna be a guard and off guard set to see how it does. Radabaan, barroth, banbaro, black diablos, radabaan. I’ve been decent at keeping up off guard but I’m not as talented as you are at testing which skills are going to be the best. Once I get more black diablos materials I can make the legs and maybe try off guard 5 if guard 2 is sufficient. Could be really good, but depends on skill more. If element +burst is just more effective through I’m gonna throw my phone 😂

A bit late to the party, but another small tip (And maybe it was there and I missed it) is that you can start a normal charge with the lance and tap your special to go into the invulnerable special attack seamlessly.

Thanks for the guide. Ive been waiting for the lance. Sad part about the new gear is we have to farm mats and gold for it.

Important to note that you can also jump while doing your Special, same as the non-special run, which is very useful for when they raise their head during your Special and you wanna stab that face.

I feel attacked.

I dont know if its my phone sensitivity or something but I cannot get the counter to work. If I guard and swipe down, nothing happens. I just continue guarding. Cannot figure this out.
