Lance Leipold reacts to Kansas' loss to Illinois 

I love listening to David Lawrence during the game. He has so much level headed knowledge. The comments he was making was about the receivers not getting separation. Sometimes the difference between good and bad QB play is the receiver play, not that most armchair folks would recognize it.

@@aiden395 I trust Leipold to right the ship but JD didn’t play well against Lindenwood other then that deep ball to Grimm. I think it’s a mixture of Grimes play calling and JD looks rusty to say the least.

Throwing a bubble screen on 3rd & 12 was insane! Daniels and Grimes both looked incompetent today.

We were a run team last year and the year before that. New OC Grimes wants to make us a pass-heavy team when we're just not. Daniels is quick, plus we have Neal and Hishaw. Devon Neal averaged 7.2 yards per carry but only touched the ball 14 times. That is absolutely on Grimes. We turned into something from nothing 2 years ago with an offense that ran 80% of the time and now Grimes is trying to cut that in half in favor of passing with a QB whose strength is running

Jayhawks will be better from this, I truly believe it. I’m confident in Cole Ballard or Isaiah Marshall if anything, just operate the offense without Turning the ball over. Jayhawks dominate this game on paper, but doesn’t reflect in the score tonight. Y’all have a good night 🫡❤️ #RockChalk

@samd8669 We have never been an 80% run team. Why was Coach K recruited/bought away from us? Because pennstate needed his explosive downfield playcalling.

@@johnlee7085 the last 2 seasons, when daniels was on the field, deep passes were VERY rare. The offense was driven by rushing yards, not passing yards, just like it was last night.

I'm an Illinois fan here It was a great game and I'm really impressed with Kansas and keep your heads up, you guys are going to have a great year! Sometimes it's just not your night.

A common refrain for the last few years has been In Lance We Trust, and appropriately so. If it weren’t so sad it would be hilarious to see the clowns that come out in situations like this. At least it wasn’t against Northern Illinois or someone like that.
