“Turn your head like you’re looking at somebody …” (03:23) was the final piece that unlocked it for me. If I looked down to spot my landing, I maybe landed 1 in 20 tries. If I looked to the horizon instead, my body followed effortlessly and could land it every time. Thanks Aaron 🤘🏽

I love how Aaron interacts with people he teaches. My local skating community is pretty toxic, they laugh at beginners and make them feel uncomfortable. Nice to see that there are some good people out there.

Loved how Aaron emphasized what was needed with the shoulders then later broke it down so specifically (head then legs) that Lance was able to do it. Good job Lance and Aaron

That bowl looks perfect to learn stuff in. All transitions near me is either pretty deep or has a pretty harsh transition. That bowl is both shallow and mellow.

that ramp is so easy!! in my country ramps are further more complicated!! much more vert and less transition plus less space between ramps so when you learn to do it for the first time is much more stressful!!!

i have a fear of dropping in now because i did it once and hit my head than stopped skating because after i sprained my ankle now i have the fear of hitting my head again

Seems like there are a few novice skaters there, which is nice to see. At the park I go to here in Virginia, it's not crowded but just about everybody is really good. Same dudes, who sit around, smoke dope, then go skate and pull of some amazing stuff. That bowl at the park (Fremont?) is awesome. I'd kill for a mellow one like that.

I am super confortable riding my board, i know how to drop in, rock n roll, rock to fakie.... and i still cant do an ollie, anyway, very nice video, thanks to it i was able to see some common mistakes i was doing :)

When people learn Rock to Fakie, they tend to to a shy-tap with their truck. If you were to imagine this, it's where the truck only 'just' passes the coping giving them really no rock at all. If you're trying to learn Rock and Roll, it's best to learn a Rock to Fakie where you rock somewhere close to the center of your board. This give you a more 'sticky' connection with the coping and when you go to pivot on your other truck, you can wind up and unwind allowing you to roll away smoothly.

I wish there were skate parks with bowls or min ramps that size at my skate park. I can slash grind on the mini ramps at my park and i can drop in but they are so hard to learn new tricks on because they are very steep.
