I'd take a Lancia, in general, over one. Though I prefer the Lancia 037 Stradale. I prefer the design more, to me one of the most beautiful looking cars.
To be fair that Delta S4 might be pumping +800 hp so 0 to 60 may be around 1.9 or 1.8 seconds for the Lancia. Group B is quicker than what you could ever imagine, but Group B with rhe boost turned up to eleven is just mad and insane, loved every second of the S4 wiping the Lambo.

The only official 0 to 60 has been recorded in Finland on gravel !! 1.8 seconds in the early 90s, this says alot (..) and I always need to smile, wenn a Tesla Plaid owner claims his best effort (..)

Magnificent!! I had the privilege of seeing both Tiovonen and Alen in RAC 1985 in Chatsworth. I heard a rumour about a works S4 being driven around Monaco circuit hard, but i dont know of any proof. Does anyone know please?
theres stories of toivonen running his s4 around Estoril in 86, idk about monaco. He would have qualified at p6 had his fastest time in the car been used for qualification (allegedly, but with good amount of corroboration).
0-60 in 2.1 seconds on gravel says enough. The Lamborghini can easily outrun the Delta, but sprinting is another story. The Lancia also has the status of being one of only a handful of purpose-built rally cars that were literally decades ahead of their time and continue to outperform just about everything 30 years years later. WRC is a joke. The cars are maneuverable, but slow and pathetic. The FIA claimed that the 2017 cars would break course records and rival Group B cars. Not from what I've seen. Slightly quicker, but still slow, dull and boring to watch. It's getting so bad that some people are getting tired of championship rallying from what I've seen.
La lancia Delta S4 è scattata prima. Poi ci sta pure che dopo ma solo dopo, la lamborghini superi . Immaginate solo l' abilita stratosferica che ci voleva per tenere la Mitica S4 negli sterrati..non c'è storia... Macchina purtroppo irripetibile ..

Bisogna specificare. La ecv, cioe la triflux faceva da o a 100 in 2 secondi e da 0 a 200 on 8 e qualcosa. La lamborghini pesava almeno 300 kg in piu.... La ecv sicuro aveva 600 se non piu cv.

@@kingalfred3902 It was a joke...both had 5 gears. I'm a fan of S4 era...but there are too much bullsheet arit its performance. As any rally car it had shirt gear...so really fast from 0/100kmh...but no more than 220kmh. Countach hit 300.
