If you're in the south end of LBL and heading south on 203 ... 400 will be on the left , if you just look at a map it doesn't look like much is out there. However, if you do a lot of hiking on the Fort Henry Trail system , you may already know what's out there. This has got to be one of the most beautiful places in LBL... or it was the day I was out there anyway ? I'd never been out there , but I had seen pictures of the bridge several times. PS the pictures don't do it justice..... I haven't spent nearly as much time exploring the southern end of LBL , so it's fantastic when I " discover " a place like this .
There's been a lot of rain lately , so there are quite a few water holes and lots of washed out spots and 400 is no exception. There was one spot on the road that was mildly sketchy and one big puddle... it turned out to not be very deep at all. 400 is definitely worth a trip and a walk across the bridge is an awesome reward for the journey .
