That landcruiser has been known to pull semi trucks. I like how it was toying with the Amarok, allowing to be pulled backwards, then kicking into gear and hauling the Amarok into opposite direction. Amarok lovers, don't despair, you have the fastest double cab. Just forget about taking on a landcruiser on any other thing except speed.
No mate, we didn’t know the engine power for both it could be 6 cylinder for Toyota and 4 cylinder for Amarok . Amarok 6 cylinder would not be that easy to be pulled
Now we can easily understand why a plenty of armies across the world especially in desert areas, always use Toyota land cruiser for battles... These cars are real monsters 👌
Love all the comments about engine size. traction and gearing are the only thing that matters here. You could have put a 454 supercharged big block in the VW and results would not have changed. A set of off-road tyres and some weight in the tray might have though. Regardless, the Toyota will still be going strong in 10 years while the VW will have become someone's money pit or a source of iron for the plants where it was dumped.
The Amarok, even in 4x4 is a city car. The Cruiser is a work horse and lasts forever. There is no comparison (or competition for that matter) to the Cruiser.
@@tg_gaming6094 not at all. I've done 4 engines, 8 gearboxes and 32 front ends in the last 4 months alone, not including radiators, fuel pumps, injectors, steering wheels. They're fucking trash. The old 6 cylinder diesel was mint.
Amarok 🤣🤣. I was ripped when it was trying whereas land cruiser was just standing still and after, the amarok followed the cruiser Land cruiser and Merc G63 are the monsters
LandCruiser: real 4x4. Proven concept since the 1950's to compete with the Landrover Amarok: made out of VW's necessity to compete on the US truck market but just an expensive toy for rich people that looks good on the freeway.
whut?? not the us, but the rest of the world where "small" pick ups have demand, the states doesn't know what a small pick up is sorry for my broken english :)
@@rudihohls270 no, Amarok weight is 1873kg, (Land Cruiser that's in the video ) 1723kg, and newer Land Cruiser 200 weights 2740kg, 3350kg is the maximum allowed weight for a car
Toyota built an unbeatable 4x4 vehicle, in a jeep like the Prado or in a pick up. The land cruiser. They can talk about comfort and technology, bla bla bla, but it was made to last a long time, face difficult terrain and have a lot of strength.
Maybe a more fair fight would be Hilux vs Amarok. They are in the same class. Also note, that the Amarok has road tires while cruiser has off road tires. Dont get me wrong I personally am a Toyota fan but you cant bring a knife to a gunfight. Compare class to class.
Amarok: You might be indestructible and powerful but you will never defeat me :) Land-cruiser: I may be old and antique but I'll show you how good of a truck I am I'll prove to my children and grandchildren that I am still a strong truck
Hi Please do the same between a 1hzj pickup vs the new V8 diesel pick up. Im not convinced with the new V8..should I buy a new 1hzj or the new v8 diesel
And 2 years later these amaroks and cruisers gets sold on the secondhand market as "hardly been used en mooi na gekyk". These people know how to fuck up things that people like me would treasure.
@@LeoMkII Well, here in Australia, I'd say that the Amarok is more positioned like a lifestyle truck. Farmers (or Miners) prefer something like a Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton or maybe a Ford Ranger.
