That last second "Urooooo" got me. Remy, creating that ultra niche content we all desire. Remy, the guy who makes stupid jokes at the LGS, except his are actually funny.
@@projack5617 the original song line is “Buying bread from a man in Brussels, He was six-foot-four and full of muscle.” The creature is 6/4 and muscular
@@Thewallace7347 not really because dredge also make reanimators so broken and they just git the goddamn mechanic from Pokemon TCG which you know makes it BS to think from the start
Old errata 'Cat from Bombay'... Nowadays it's 'Cat from Mumbai' These lines fit the tune completely... Better finish off the verse so sweetly, although... I don't play from the land down under Seeing someone dredging makes me chunder. I'll finish this post before I blunder, This last line, then I'll say goodbye. (Goodbye!)
@@asrieldreemurr1988essiently rewrite what the card says so it has a different effect to originally printed. Used mainly to accommodate rules changes but also used to change the way companions worked because they're broken as originally printed
What it's like listening to Remy: first time: ha! funny lyrics, and the singing isn't half bad - second time: actually, this is kinda catchy - seventeenth time: I think this is better than the actual song, and it's not just the lyrics - four-hundredth time: I think I maaay have a tiny problem
One of the little things I love about these songs is how perfectly the characters' decks ride the line between casual and competitive. You have people flashing back Path with Snapcaster and reanimating a fistful of creatures from Dredge but also dropping incredible old-school pearls like frickin' CRAW GIANT. It's just like being at an actual LGS.
At first I was a bit wierded out by him playing such obscure creatures ( Craw Giant and Adaptive Snapjaw); then I checked the lyrics of the original song...THIS IS PERFECTION!
Is "plunder" supposed to mean "get cards from graveyeard?" I'm not seeing it in an MTG slang list, and the actual card called Plunder is a sorcery that destroys an artifact or land.
@@MyLordRock 3feri is conventionally "good," but his design is trash, and is neither interesting to play, nor play against. Taking the stack completely off the table just feels cheap. As printed, he should have either lost the static ability, outright, or maybe grant your spells, when cast from hand, Split-Second. At least that could require building around a restriction that might provide a bit of a stumbling block. It would lock players out from overtly responding to your plays, but also limits where those plays are coming from. I view him the same way I view Cyclonic Rift, essentially, and take him under special consideration when considering lines of play to be built into my decks. Asking yourself "if I'm cut off of x, y, or z, can I find my way back to a winning set of plays, and, if so, how?" As problems come up, you can add to your list of things that may be denied to you, and find better ways to stay agile, or at least recognize boards that are going to cause issues, if allowed to develop further.
I like how this song actually has a happy ending for once. Usually those ends with the bullshit decks ruining the day of the singer, but this time the dredge got the comeuppance. Feels good.
This guy is pure genius. Why does he have so few followers?? I'm sending all these vids to all my friends. You sir, need more recognition for your art.
Well he do have a really nice Political comedy channel with aprox 600k subscribers, but yeah i think this guy is super underrated. Every time someone combo in the room im putting "Wake me up, before you combo"
I nominate Remy for best MTG content creator of all time. Your videos and songs are truly the best. Thank you for being a creator that just makes me smile 😊
You never fail to deliver an absolute banger. Truly, you're the Weird Al of Magic the Gathering. Move over Steamcore Weird, it's time for *Remcore* Weird.
Listening to the radio I just noticed that "I'm all out of Salt" might work pretty well for a magic parody. Maybe changing it to "I'm all out of cards" and the following "o, oh" to a "topdeck" (or keeping it the same) the flow of the lyrics might lend itself pretty well to lots of card references
Seeing the low 100s on these videos earlier this year and seeing 14k a few hours after this video posted has made me VERY happy for Remy. Create a Patreon dude!
Gr8 song and good lyrics! He say the word "thunder" lot of times and never use it for a BOLT reference, that's dedication! ALSO in the song "Modern Monday" Dredge was not mentioned ... now we just need a song about Amulet Titan
