My Dad, too, for four years before taking a promotion to the Maintenance Dept. He loved the interaction with all the kids, including us, his own four ☺. Some kids used to make fun of us because our Dad was a school custodian, but Dad very quickly showed them that there's no shame in any honest work well done. He became Mr. Joe or Mr. B. to every student during his working years (a total of 30 years in the school system before he retired), and many of the boys would go to him when they had some kind of issue and didn't feel their own fathers would help them. I was proud of my father back then, and even though he died 17 years ago, I'm still very proud of the excellent man and father he was.

@@jb6712 Thank you for remembering your father I bet he was a good custodian and maintenance worker my hats off to you and your family you should be proud of your father he probably made every kids day at that school
