The Land Pride TH35 tilt hitch (plate) helps you set grade. I am a very novice operator as of June 2024 with less than 100 hours on the machine thus far. And many of our skidding trails for logging are narrow and not graded properly any longer. I bought this to help me set grade and halt erosion or at least control it. In this video I use it for the first time in an area that is narrow and had erosion trouble. I still have a few bugs to work out, and probably need to read the manual 3 more times.
I am connecting it to a 2024 Kubota SVL75-3. At this time the Tilt Hitch does not have the pilot valve option ($349 cost) The plate was $3,300 in east Tennessee.

I’m a very new operator so keep my ignorance in mind. I know that if you can get your tracks to the grade you wish to keep moving forward you would not need the tilt. However I am finding with the tight spaces and rolling hills I couldn’t get the grade without making the trail much wider. I really want to keep the skidding trails as narrow as possible to optimize growing forest. I looked at 4 or 5 other tilt plates and for the price this seemed like the best option for my purposes. Thanks for watching and commenting. Let me know if you have other questions

Been waiting for this video!!! Why not attach the tilt to an attachment for storage, maybe your trailer hookup deal....

Yes, I am planning on doing some more TILT work today and when I need to switch to direct BUCKET I am going to attach the tilt to my Grapple. I there will be times when I have only the TILT and the Bucket nearby and that will be the challenge. When I am trying to dig up a stump with the bucket, I am sure the TILT attachment cannot take the level of strain that a direct Skid Steer to Bucket can take. So far when I put the Skid steer back into storage I have just left the Tilt attached. It's only about 5 inches thick so it's not taking up a lot of CONNEX storage space. The Trailer Mover Attachment is a good suggestion. It's leaned over at a good pickup angle. I just need to protect the hitch point so I don't bury it into the gravel pushing the TILT at it to connect or disconnect.... Very good suggestion. Have a great day, and don't get too hot in east Tennessee. I will have a pure Digging/Grading with Tilt video soon as I plan on filming later today (June 23, 2024)

What part of the country is this? Looks like a nice place. Pretty sandy looking soil, no accent. Im gonna guess south carolina. :D

This is east Tennessee. The soil can vary greatly from clay, to sandy mix, to darker soil. I have yet to see black dirt like Iowa, Illinois or Wisconsin. My lack of accent means midwest right, as everyone has an accent in the USA if they move someplace else HA!!!! This is near Smokey Mountains, so the forest is very similar to Smokey Mountains, just not as high. I think the top of our ridge at the highest point is 1,200ft above sea level. The lowest spot is about 800ft, maybe 750ft. Based on historical Google Maps pictures we believe it was logged in 1980. Definitely a beautiful part of the country in my opinion, but there are beautiful parts in every state if you get far enough away from big cities. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.

@@ahbuildingafarm I was gonna guess tennessee but the lack of accent thru me off! i was born and raised in coastal virginia {we dont have accents either}, always been my dream to move to tennessee....but as luck would have it im currently stuck in Arizona. Not terribly picturesque out here, unless you like 50 shades of desert brown. :D

I would travel for work to Arizona a lot in the past, all seasons so 115F to 32F. Arizona is more about weather, but if you get away from Phoenix up in the mountains there can be some trees. However Tennessee has "Real" trees, because we have real rain. We have all kinds of Oak, Pines, Walnut etc all in the same forest. It's my own little forest preserve. I am learning how to maintain and improve the forest through University of Tennessee extension seminars they hold occasionally. This fall I will be working with Tennessee State Forestry Department to put in a fire break. And the Forestry Department will then also conduct a burn to promote forest health. That should be a great video, if they let me get close enough to watch.......

@@ahbuildingafarm Yeah i hear that. Im in the valley, but have folks up in the mountains around show low. I call the trees up there "fake trees" theyre mostly all junipers and some little scraggly pines. Nothing like back east! and certainly no big hardwoods. Controlled burns are def something great to learn about. People think fire is purely destructive, but done right youll have greatly improved the land. Its wild to see how fast its back to lush green after a burn. Best of luck with your endeavors!
