If you don't have traction control, when in cross-axle situations, use your left foot to apply the brakes lightly - this will slow the spinning wheel and redistribute some torque to the stuck wheel.
Very nice. Wanted to grab a 90 station wagon, but they are rare as hell over here. So I dropped by the local dealership and placed an order on a double cab pickup (they only assemble pickup variants over here). Now to play the waiting game until it rolls off the production line...
for the kind of work you were doing, a central diff lock is not enough. You need one on the rear and in extremis one on the front. Preferably of a mechanical rather than an electronic type that operates the brake on the spinning wheel.

There are rear, center and front locker. A stock Defender come with the center diff lock only. Of course it would be more efficient with all of them, but anyway it performs very well sike that :)
I don't see how the title is relevant to what we see?? Obviously, the Defender without TC would NOT get through some of these axle twisters so maybe add it to the title???.... But nice vid anyway :)
