Idiots! My 2004 Freelander is a total lemon, but I still baby it, and love it to death. I will always put money into it until the day the epoxied cylinder sleeves finally slip, then I swap the crap Chinese engine out for a new Honda CRV engine.
The noisy man behind the camera is a friend of mine...this Discovery was rusted to absolute shit. When they were done with this one, all the bits that could be salvaged were harvested, and used to keep less cancerous specimens on the road. His personal truck is an early 80's Range Rover, which has been saved from the crusher a hundred times due to the work he's put into it!
about 10 years ago me and my mates bought an older model from a scrap yard, it had been torched but we managed to get it running without much work, then we fitted a snorkel and used lots of silicon to make sure the electrics stayed dry, we hammered it much like you have then we decided to drive it up the river on my mates farm, it kept on going even when the water was level with out heads, them land rovers are pretty solid, it drove through the river and drove out, only problem we had was the next day when the battery was flat, so we replaced it and it lived on

@MrRayRayWatson The 110 has the same steering rack as the 90, obviously the 110's a bigger car so it handles really badley. A 3. turns ambitious to be honest.

SURE WAS!! nearly didn't get it on youtube, i must have switched the camera to standard def. half way and the video software had trouble coping with both HD & SD in one movie, as you'll noticed in the test vid, but i managed to sort it. there's more to come!!
The only problem with this is that they dont sell these discoverys new anymore. It would be a brilliant idea if it was a discovery 4 or a new Range Rover.
