Hi, I just came to top my Adblue up and the screw cap was really tight. I watched your video just to check I was doing it right before I applied a bit more pressure to unscrew it. Very helpful video, didn't want to force anything.
the DEF rate of consumption was deliberately increased for 2017 MY vehicles. Typical consumption that should be expected is circa 500 miles/litre or 800 km/l. With a 13.7 litre tank, maximum effective range will be approximately 5000 miles before a refill will be required
Sorry i can’t as i sold the car in 2018! Personally i always drain the oil based on the premise that any nasties in it have drained to the bottom of the engine.. 🙂👍
The small adblue bottles are so expensive £12.90 per 1.89L bottle. Can I use redex adblue into my 2019 discovery sport hse model. I have no idea what adblue goes in. Can you please send me link what you use
So adblue only comes as one thing and should come to one standard regardless of the brand. I fill at the garage via the pump as is the cheapest. Also varies by country. In Germany it’s about €0.99/litre but i filled on holiday in France this summer at €0.54!! I don’t know what the situation is like in UK?
If you have a newer DS then the car was redesigned in 2019 (do you have a rectangular fuel filler flap?) then the filler is next to the fuel (gas) tank filler. The actual ad-blue tank is next to the fuel tank (in the same space) which is why fuel tank capacity dropped on 2016 models from 62 to 50 litres. 👍
