Dave and whole Team, I am sure your skins are thick enough to cope with the naysayers, people /dreamers who want a £100k car for £10k…I’m not a wealthy man, but I do OK and I am more than prepared to save up and get my dream Defender (Wolf) built over a number of years…I have never had an impatient comment from you guys even though it’s taken me more than a year just to decide what I want, (even now the list keeps changing because you’re constantly improving), but we’re staring with the Winchester Gearbox and stage 2 Transfer box this year, maybe some engine work later on in the year too, but hen there’s still Chassis, exhaust, suspension, interior, maybe even an engine swap in my future, just not put a time scale on it…anyway another great instalment Dave/ Ben please just keep doing what you’re doing, there will always be those of us who just appreciate innovative development, excellent craftsmanship and ultimate quality. ❤ Mahker

PS - I saw you get name checked in “Land Rover Life (Pg45)” by Capt. Ratty, whilst gallivanting around the Belgian countryside…although they called his 110 a Wolf which it isn’t of course, it’s a Tithonus, but still cooler than standard, not that anything about his Defender is standard anymore now it’s been Mahkerised…❤Mahker.

Surely you would personally buy it for a super good price surely you would make a checky low offer on it. I couldn't keep that were I live. I would have the house burgled. life threatened. and car would be a memory . It wouldn't be worth keeping.

I just misheard you I think, unless you said £30k for an engine,🤣 presumably plus fitting? Clearly not marketing yourselves to the original defender customer. Just the wealthy.

It’s nothing to do with the wealthy if you require the top components they do not come cheap a fully dressed rebuilt engine with brand new sensors & auxiliaries comes to nearly 10-15k depending on specifications.

majority of defender market is the wealthy now, therefore most businesses are now pushing high prices for the high end buyers

@@wearemahker ok guys. A decent £30k family car is £450 on a PCP deal. Only wealthy people can afford to extract £30k for an engine alone and extract the cash from their bank account, unless you do this on finance? 🤣It’s all to do with wealth. It may be the best components, but we all demand the best, we all can’t afford the way you suggest that defender owners can buy a new engine at this cost so flippantly, like oh well it’s only £30k. yeah fuk it why not I’ll have two. 🤣
