@@patrickridge4194 Fair point, though the restrictions aren't in place to solely prevent the spread of the virus, it is also to provide relief from emergency services that are pushed to the limit in the face of this pandemic. There is the trip to the petrol station. Petrol stations are well reported to be hot spot for infection, that didn't need to happen if he just stayed at home. Other issues to consider would be the risk of injury whilst driving like a nutter in the woods. Obviously there wasn't an accident, but accidents do happen and they aren't planned. If an accident did happen then that uses up resources and time from emergency services that could have been put to better use. Personally I feel it's more the message that is portrayed by someone with influence through social media that it's ok to do what you want and carry on as usual. The guidelines, whether you agree with then or not, are simple, essential travel, 1 hour exercise outside, stay in as much as possible. It's not about what you can get away with, it's about all working together, helping the NHS to have room to do their jobs and then hopefully lockdown can end as soon as possible.

Here in Australia if you put a 186 Holden donk in your landy ,have to put solsbury diff in rear end may snap the odd axle but the diffs are bullet proof

186 Holden motor from Australia can put the 173 Holden motor aswell just need adaptor plate for gear box and a decent diff in the ass end and it will go for ever

Pah. Irrelevant of him not being the best mechanic he's having fun using a landy how it should be used. I agree he should probably not do some of the things he's doing (aka burning out the engine) because I want to see it stay running as long as it can be (actually being driven...) but I would much rather this be done that it be sat inside an old barn left to rot and while away. That aside, calling him spoilt is pretty ironic considering the reason he can afford all this stuff is because he is literally one of the best in the world at what he does. Don't get all grumpy old git just because you maybe didn't get the life you wanted doing what you most want to.

@@crescentfuze no - he'll break it and then dump it in the corner of a shed because he's a mechanically incompetent spoilt brat who will switch to the next project vehicle to wreck - and think it's funny. If he could actually fix it, I'd be a fan but I'm afraid he reminds me of some rich cnuts I went to university with - who know the cost of everything but the value of nothing.

motohunter classic cars are meant to be used! Let the rich blokes keep the immaculate ones for shows, I think classics are way cooler when they look a bit used and actually get used, my 80s VW would never be a show car because then I wouldn’t want to use it!
