Amazing Landau! You make WV proud! I met him recently when he performed at the Clarksburg Amphitheater and he is the most humble down to earth individual... his wife, his kids they are all wonderful folks. I am sooo happy for them and its a great inspiration that good things do happen to good people. I wish them all the success in the world!
Now he living it up that's right he'll never forget where he came from but that's the most important thing. Thank God he made it. He's story will always be inspirational to me :)
I agree with the top comment. Landau sings it straight out, no add ons, no changes....the straight and honest truth of the song has FINALLY come out and I definitely appreciate him for doing so! I hope you make it far in this world Landau, you deserve it!
This one brought tears to my eyes. He has come a very long way from the start. Everyone loves him, you can tell that by the way they are sing with him.
Frankly, I close my eyes and I hear a wonderfully clear and controlled voice; I open my eyes and I see a man who loves to sing and loves the people he is singing to, I see a good and decent man. I see Landau Murphy!
We in the uk had Charlotte and Johnathan come second to a dog but boy i wish Landau had been on the show too. What a final it would have been. Well done chum you most certainly deserve winning the American version.
Makes me proud to be an American and especially a west Virginian you deserve the best life has to offer man you are a class act and to hell with all the haters god bless you and yours sincerely your all heart my man
no flashy vocals. no over belted notes. this is the anthem the way it was supposed to be. where everyone can follow it and the main singer sings it very well! i love this guy!
Don't know if anyone will see this, hope so, but geez rallyfan 101, I truly agree with you, let Landau sing the anthem every year. Man I never realized so many so called pop star singers DON'T know the words, and further more can"t even sing it as well as Landau.
At several different sporting events, the crowd will shout the O in the line "O say does that star spangled banner yet wave". My best guess is West Virginia is a border state with Ohio and many students and fans live in Ohio. Shouting the O is in reverence to their home state. Over the years, however these traditions develop, it just becomes a fun thing to shout out the O.
christina got into music doing just that. i'm not a fan of her music, but vocally, she's one of the best female singers in history. just stating facts.
