Thanks all for the comments and views. I was very lucky to be 1 one 300 people to fly for free on this 1st commercial flight of A350 in Vietnam. My seat was 26K
Would it kill Airbus to make gear that DONT give the plane a big shake on landing? I mean, do the A330 landing gear on everythung, cuz THAT thing lands smooth. And also, SHUT THE HELL UP FLAPS! (A380 and A350) My final sentence: I dont hate or love the A350 or A380. I hate the flaps, nose or the plane and the landings, but other than that, they are amazing planes!
Vietnam has come a long way from the time when I first arrived back in 1988. We used to fly between HCMC and Hanoi in old bombers or in cast-off Soviet Aeroflot planes which had mostly broken seats. God knows what else was broken. It's a wonder they ever got off the ground. Vn nationals paid $20 for a ticket. Foreigners had to pay $300. To know what it was like for an expat to live in Vietnam and Cambodia way back then see 'Memories of the Mekong & Other Stores.' It's a free e-book download on www.starcorpvn.com Those are times that will never come again (as General Giap once said).
