Here's what would've been epic karma for Bradley: While in Miami, he gets robbed and left on the streets all alone with no way to get home. Maybe that would teach him compassion, but I doubt it.

I was really hoping the mom would say something like “I promised them this morning when I had the money then my landlord came and demanded rent 2 weeks early and only left me $11” and find out the woman is his mom or something. Just to see him get his consequences for being a terrible human being.

That Landlord had NO CHILL, and it really doesn't see fair to make the pay 2 weeks early. How was she supposed to know he had a trip?

If he was in the UK he would be breaking so many laws. He'd go to jail and I would support the authorities in jailing him. If I ever see kids in a restaurant on their birthday I tell the waiter to send me the bill. Within 5 years there will be a few James Bond restaurants in the UK and any kid under 18 will get his or her birthday meal for free so long as the parents bring some proof like a birth certificate or passport. I rent out property and I remember a while ago I was a resident landlord and I had this tenant called Kim who can only be described as the life and soul of the party. However there was a period of 10 days when she wasn't speaking to me. It reached such a stage I had to go up to her and ask her why she wasn't talking to me. She was scared. I asked why. She said that she worked at Pizza hut to pay her rent and they paid her monthly and I took rent every 3 months (termly) and she couldn't afford the rent. I just said "why don't you pay weekly and be done with it?" These things can always be resolved by a simple conversation.

Yeah, it's sweet of that woman to buy that little girl her birthday cake, but I wouldn't really call it a happy ending. After all, this family still has to deal with a racist landlord who abuses his authority and seems to be looking for an excuse to throw them out on the streets.
