LANDMVRKS - "Creature" Reaction // A retro inspired horror movie in a metal video?! 

So early in the year but I have a feeling this will still be a top contender for Chorus of the Year at the end of the year.

Obsessed with this song. Can't wait for everything (anything) else Landmvrks releases this year!! Regarding the video, maybe the story will continue in future singles?

Love this song, I've listened to it so many times since it came out that it may make a dent in my 2024 spotify review. Landmvrks' sound is so unique, both Flo's voice and the guitar tones. They are playing in my country in May, I think I'll go and see them live.

The pick-scrape is a natural harmonic played basically like a barre-chord. You're just barely touching the strings, usually notated as in tab notation, at least this is usually how I've seen it. Played from the 5th or 4th string to the 1st. The gain does most of the heavy lifting, won't get quite the same vibe from a clean/low-gain sound.

WOW I just found out they're supporting the Northlane gig I'm seeing in Melbourne... very excited! Also the pick scrape sound is made by muting all the strings with your left hand, then scraping the strings upward with the SIDE of the pick. If you want an ascending sound, then scrape downward. Guitars are weird.

That particular scrape is done by quickly upstroking the 5th fret harmonic of every string from the highest tembre to the lowest tembre string.
