@@trollmanrs Did you find the two halves of the case didn't really snap together properly and stay there? I'm 100% going to need to glue mine together.

You can try re/de assembling in a large clear bag to catch the surface to air missi… I mean key fob tension spring

Am I missing something or are you not swapping the actual key? Dont you need to swap the metal key as well?

Hi, the metal part comes with the new flip key, you have to get that cut using your existing key as a template. So no you don't swap it. Hope that helps.

Mmmmm you say you are converting your Disco 2 key to a Disco 3 flip key. The flip key you are using in this video only has two buttons that are staggered to match the Disco 2 button position. A genuine Disco 3 flip key has three buttons that are in a straight line. A Disco 2 circuit board will not line up. A Range Rover flip fob has two buttons but they are orientated the wrong way around to match up with a Disco 2 circuit board. Can you confirm which new flip key fob you are actually using.

Hi, No I said I was converting to a flip key LIKE you get on a Disco 3. It's a different case becuase like you said there are only 2 buttons on a D2. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching.

it's just a D2 replacement key but a flip key, search for Discovery 2 flip key on ebay and you will find them. Good luck. @@davechristie6988

@@trollmanrs yeah I found a few on ebay just after I replied. I didn't realise the conversion was a thing and that a purpose made fob was available .
