I used to play wit a guy like Landry high school. He never got his shot be a starter. But he burst his ass in practice and always showed up when we need him coming off the bench.
Even as a former team Captain sometimes the best words to hear...is coach looking at you both and saying how about you SHUT UP both of you. Sometimes we need that humble pie
That is exactly what the team needed to hear someone from the outside looking in to remind them that they are all in that room, on that field together. I know people respond highly to confidence and being bold, but humility really is a high level skill. In this day at time it feels like a lost art, an ancient practice. Humility is more than just having a low view of one's importance it's about freedom from pride or arrogance. A person with humility listens to and accepts others. Humility is staying stable and maintaining power on the inside and not needing to control others on the outside.
Landry picked up that wisdom from his older brother, West Canaan Coyotes football coach, Lance Harbor. Lol bet that's why Coach Taylor calls him Lance.
"Saracen and Smash don't play defense" - Coach the defense gave up 6 points after a fumble in your territory. Your offense gave up a pick six and put up a goose egg.
Lance Football! In all honesty, Landry saved the game for the Panthers. He swinged their mindset momentum with his uplifting speech at halftime, and he made a heck of a play causing that fumble that swung the momentum of the game on the field. Clear eyes, full hearts

ive been in a few locker rooms as an observer and trainer, some coaches like polling the team and getting players who have spent the game on the sidelines as observers to comment on what they've seen gone wrong

@@julianmarx9058 yes he was on the reserves but most of his play time was on kickoff return front line special teams and if the game is decided on the 4th quarter. Most of the time, the players who most likely ride the bench are the ones who play only on special teams.

We're meant to assume it's a late, but good call. Questionable calls have always been written into the script somehow, typically with shots of the opposing team and/or coaches reacting to it, and the play-by-play announcer always clarifies it for us. Your second point has validity, but then, it's TV show.

Ian is right. Also, when Panthers scored that go ahead TD at the end (un-timed down) A PAT attempt would've had to happen because the other team could have possibly scored two points on a return run back on the PAT KICK or 2 pt conversion. Mist likely Dillon would've just snapped it and taken a knee to avoid the other team getting chance at fluke 2 pt runback.
I heard that Landry’s Alias is Todd and that he escaped a room in which was shot up by some guy named Heisenberg. He is now on the run and wanted for murder.
Can someone explain the rules of what happened here. I LOVED the series and movie but don't quite understand why the flag was thrown. Sidenote I'm from the UK and love the story telling but don't quite get the rules of the game. Thanks in advance!
past 10 yards during a pass play the defense cant hit the receiver preventing him from catching the ball. can only be hit after the catch is made or contact of the ball. this is pass interference. you can slap the ball away or try to intercept it but cant hit the receiver like that.
Landry should’ve been a better player. I’m not saying a star, but guy should’ve had more downs for sure. I think he could’ve developed and we see in the show he made some legit good plays. Also guy actually played football in real life lmao, so it wouldn’t have been bad tocplay him.
Yeah, but then he transforms into their placekicker, and this show has always been about the characters evolving beyond preconceived, but false limits, or dealing with discovering their actual limits.

@@km-bo3zx i love this show but a lot of the drama makes no sense. Why would Lance do that? All he had to do was say he was attacking her so he hit him and he died. No dumping the body or anything, the man was already wanted.
Sadly, Lance changed his name to Todd and went on to a life of manufacturing methamphetamine. Some say his did it to impress a woman with ties to drug rings across the world.
Both Saracen and Smash should’ve both called it a truce before the coach decided to bench them, and coach Taylor don’t tell them to shut up that’s disrespectful
