We are going over the removal of the blades on the Idech Power Rotary Scissors, otherwise known as the landscape blade, and performing a sharpening on them. I also had some concerns about play in the blades and need to take a closer look to make sure that there was not any damaged components.

When you want to store the Rotary Scissors, get yourself a plastic bucket that the scissors will fit into and pour in some Canola oil, Sunflower oil in a sufficient enough amount to cover the surface. Canola/Sunflower/Peanut oil is inexpensive and found in any supermarket for a couple of dollars. Why waste money on expensive lubricants in an aerosol can. The object is to prevent oxidization and eliminate water from the blades. You can also dip the scissors in canola oil and wrap the scissors well in Glad Wrap, place in a re-seal-able polythene bag such as a zip-lock bag.
