Fantastic! I am a new pastelist and find this tutorial so, so helpful. Thank you so much! This approach is truly enlightening and non-intimidating, like some of the others I have seen. Again, thank you sharing your knowledge in such a great format.
love it love it! Thank you for sharing, I learn a lot from your slow and steady guidance! Thank you so much, appreciate lots! God Bless your thought and action taken!
I always like graphite or charcoal drawing a landscape, and then recreate it with pastel. It's a lot of fun, brings all your imagination to life in a unique way. Awesome video!
I do that, too! The charcoal or graphite drawing really helps establish the values present in the landscape. Makes a great reference to work off of. :)
Very nice tutorial thank you. Hope to see one with detailed example of how lightly you are 'finger blending" while avoiding clogging the tooth - especially on Mi Tenites! THANKS much
Great video! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and talent. I would love to have a go at painting this. Are you able to provide the photo reference? Much appreciated
I am looking for a soft pastel scene with a rainbow in the sky. Can you help? By the way, I have learned much from watching you. Excellent teaching! Thank you.
Hello, did you use a fixative over your landscape? If so, what do you recommend that doesn't change the values too much, as I find my use of fixatives darkens my painting and I'm losing my highlights. Thank you.
I think it's nice, especially the depth and warmth, I think it's beautiful. And I can cooperate, eat is very nice to do. I only have trouble choosing paper, where can I get that beautiful paper, not from Canson, I think. Anyway 👌
Afijn 👌👌👌👌 I think it's nice, especially the depth and warmth, I think it's beautiful. And I can cooperate, eat is very nice to do. Thank you for doing / sharing this demo ! I found it very helpful. I am working on a Pastel of a Snowy Owl in a Tundra scene & I wanted to check out some new techniques to see if I can make my work stronger & this is going to help ! Thanks Much ! I hope you will check out my FB Studio page - Wind Beneath My Wings Studio & Workshops. Thanks much !
I like UArt paper, PastelMat, Canson Mi Teintes "Touch ( AWESOME stuff ! )and Art Spectrum paper. Just experiment & have FUN & see what works best for YOU ! The question is NOT " How do I draw a tree? " !! . . . . the QUESTION is how do * I * draw a tree ?!" !!!!!! Find YOUR way of doing things & TRULY be an Artist! Don't be a COPY MACHINE pumping out production ! It's all about expressing YOUR vision! Focus on Color TEMPERATURE over values ! Warm colors PROJECT ! Cool colors recede ! BUT, . . .don't ASS-U-ME that just because a color is "BLUE" that is's a COOL color ! There are WARM blues, just as there are cool reds ! It's all comparative !
