The sand will hold the bricks. Concrete mix is better. Otherwise if you step on them, it will fall to the sides. ( for us the deer 🦌 that comes in to our property is a problem)
What about the half brick gap you hid from the camera line by positioning it behind the tree, how did you sort that out with a trowel and a spirit level.
In my opinion, smothering possible tree roots and areas close to a tree to concrete is not a very good idea. Could lead to a dead tree long term. How about sand or some other water soluble solution?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. . We can just put the bricks around. But if you step on them, it will fall to the side.. We use little concrete only, to join the bricks together.
@@JerseyGardening2020 Shannon is right. You are a landscaper, not an arborist. Most landscapers - including you, know nothing about tree health. Doing what you're doing is significantly shortening the life of every tree you touch. Don't touch another tree in your life until you get educated - by an arborist (not another landscaper). You're promoting a good look as more important than the health of the tree. You don't understand how much damage that you are doing to these trees. And you probably don't care either...
