I used this technique to make a throw sized quilt for a wedding present. The couple were married on the beach in Cabo San Lucas and I recreated the scene, including the boats at sea and the flower arch. This is the only place I saw this technique and it is so simple and effective!
What tutorial so clear, comes from a person who handles the technique very well and is very easy to demonstrate what he does. Congratulations on your great creativity.
Great video! Everything seems so easy to go. Which brand is the background fabric and where is it available? I only understood "Niki Lauda", but I can't find it in the web.
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I started hand sewing for the first time during the lockdown in Australia. I have made four landscape large blocks, after seeing this video, with stories and several photos. I would like to have a “frozen panel” as a backing. With regards quilting the entire sandwich, how can I put together the three layers with hand sewing to highlight the landscapes but still keep the backing not too bombarded with different colours eg the grass, water on the front with the lilac/pink of the frozen panels at the back. Perhaps what I’m asking is, is it ok if the quilting doesn’t match throughout the entire backing. Sorry if I’m confusing you but I’m confusing myself.
@@mothermgt thank you so much for your response. I’m so very new in the hand sewing and quilting business. In fact I don’t even machine sew. I thought I’m over ambitious for a first timer, though the blocks I’ve made so far came out nicely. Thank you again.
Hi could you please do a video on how to measure up and add the borders to the quilt as I am a complete novice and cannot find this with easy explanations on other channels? Thank you. Three lovely easy to understand demos Nat thanks you got me started however I don't know how to finish xx
